After an action-packed national finals held last October, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is calling on motorsports fans to support three Filipino sim racers as they represent the country at the 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Asia eSports GT Championship. The regional showdown will take place at the Toyota Alive Space in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Philippine delegation, represented by Victor Ancheta, Enzo Ison, and Matthew Ang, earned their slots after coming out on top in the local edition of the TGR Philippines eSports GT Championship. TMP shared that the local event gathered more than 250 participants, making the selection process one of the most competitive to date.
Leading the Philippine team is national champion Victor Ancheta, a 25-year-old racer from Baguio City. Despite being relatively new to the tournament, Ancheta demonstrated strong consistency throughout the series. He placed third in the qualifiers and fifth in both the quarterfinals and semifinals, then secured 1st place in the national finals with a steady performance across all three races.
Joining him is 15-year-old Enzo Ison from Lubao, Pampanga. Ison may be the youngest member of the squad, but he has the skills to go head-to-head with his more experienced fellows. Well adapted to the challenges of the TGR eSports racing, he is a two-time Junior Class Champion (2022 and 2023) and finished second overall in 2024. With prior Asia Finals experience, he entered this year’s national competition as a crowd favorite, topping both qualifiers and quarterfinals, placing 3rd in the semifinals, and ultimately placing 2nd in the national finals.
Rounding out the trio is 23-year-old Matthew Ang from Makati City, another returning Asia finals contender. He previously placed 2nd in the Promotional Class in 2022 and 3rd overall in 2023. This season, he maintained a strong presence in the top ranks, finishing 2nd in the qualifiers, quarterfinals, and semifinals. He went on to finish 3rd in the national finals.

TMP continues to invest in the growth of sim racing through the TGR eSports GT Championship, which has been held locally since 2020. The program not only develops competitive virtual racers, but also provides a pathway to real-world racing through the Toyota GR Philippine Cup.
The 2025 Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Asia eSports GT Championship will be streamed live on November 23, 2025, at Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines’ (TGR Philippines) Facebook and YouTube pages starting at 6:00 PM.
