ACMobility’s Greenstrum targets businesses with smarter EV charging

ACMobility is expanding its push to make electric vehicle charging more accessible to businesses through Greenstrum, its charging systems integrator that combines EV charging infrastructure with battery energy storage technology.

Announced on August 24, Greenstrum is offering enterprises end-to-end support in designing, supplying, and installing their own EV charging facilities. The company says its solutions are aimed at businesses that want to operate electric fleets or establish their own charging businesses while retaining ownership and operational control of the infrastructure.

Greenstrum offers a range of chargers from 7 kW to 480 kW, giving businesses flexibility depending on their charging requirements. Its installations use Huawei FusionCharge fast DC charging technology, with features designed to protect against grid overload and other electrical hazards, alongside rapid-response maintenance support.

A key part of the offering is battery energy storage. Greenstrum is a certified installation and integration partner for Huawei’s Battery Energy Storage Systems and deploys the LUNA2000 Smart Energy Storage System. The system can store electricity when charging demand is low and release it when demand rises, effectively acting as an energy buffer for EV charging sites.

For businesses, this can help manage peak electricity demand, optimize energy costs, and make better use of existing electrical infrastructure without immediately requiring expensive grid upgrades. Greenstrum says its charging installations are also solar-ready and can be integrated with the Evro app, allowing users to locate charging points and monitor and pay for charging sessions.

The company already provides chargers and installation services for ACMobility EV Charging Hubs and has experience deploying fast DC chargers capable of up to 480 kW. Depending on vehicle compatibility, the company says these systems can recharge EVs in as little as 10 to 15 minutes. Intelligent power sharing can also distribute available electricity among multiple vehicles to improve charging efficiency.

Greenstrum says its installations comply with the Philippine Electrical Code and are supported by DOE accreditation and qualified professional electrical engineers. Its end-to-end services can also include connectivity, CCTV installation, and preventive maintenance during the warranty period, without giving up control of assets.

The commercial EV charging solutions are now available nationwide to property developers, fleet operators, and automotive OEMs. The move gives businesses another route to build and control charging infrastructure as electric mobility continues to grow in the Philippines.

Greenstrum’s approach makes sense because enterprise EV adoption is about more than simply adding electric vehicles to a fleet. Businesses also need reliable charging infrastructure, and the combination of fast charging and battery energy storage could make that transition more practical.

Its 480 kW charging capability is particularly notable for fleet operators that cannot afford lengthy charging downtime. If Greenstrum can consistently deliver reliable installations and nationwide support, it could help remove one of the key hurdles to wider commercial EV adoption in the Philippines.
