Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) intends to expand its aftersales support for its utility models such as the Tamaraw and the Lite Ace by offering a free 24/7 emergency roadside assistance (ERS) beginning in August 2026. This aftersales initiative is made possible through TMP’s partnership with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).
Toyota PH said that its partnership with AAP shows the car brand’s commitment to customer safety, peace of mind, and dependable mobility. The free 24/7 ERS can be availed by Toyota Tamaraw and Toyota Lite Ace owners who purchased their respective Toyota models beginning August 2026.
Toyota shared that eligible customers may avail of the 24/7 ERS, which includes services such as flat tire replacement, battery boosting, minor on-site mechanical repairs, emergency fuel delivery, and towing assistance of up to one intervention or 25 kilometers to the nearest Toyota dealership. Of note, membership is valid for one year from the vehicle release date. Eligible customers can activate their membership by scanning the QR code included with their membership card.

TMP decided to team up with AAP for the free ERS since this is expected to be valuable for owners of the Toyota Tamaraw and Lite Ace. According to Toyota, the said vehicles are relied upon by entrepreneurs, businesses, and families for their everyday mobility needs. It also enhances the ownership experience by giving customers added confidence on every journey.
“AAP has been recognized for its commitment to road safety, a mission that Toyota deeply shares. That is why today’s agreement is significant. It reflects our shared commitment to providing better service and greater peace of mind to our customers. Through this program, we want our customers to know that help is available whenever they need it,” TMP President Masando Hashimoto said.
“At Toyota, our responsibility does not end when we hand over the keys. We remain committed to supporting our customers throughout their ownership journey,” Hashimoto added.
Toyota and AAP have built a longstanding relationship through initiatives that promote road safety and responsible motoring, including their collaboration in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup.

Autocar’s Take
Toyota Motor Philippines aims to further make the ownership experience of its Tamaraw and Lite Ace clients more convenient by offering free 24/7 emergency roadside assistance. This is a nice initiative from Toyota PH, as the free roadside assistance will enable owners who rely heavily on their utilitarian vehicle to keep their business moving. It also gives drivers more confidence and peace of mind whenever they are out on the road, as AAP will come to the rescue should their Tamaraw or Lite Ace encounter a tire puncture or be in need of a minor repair.
