Robert McAllister will now be calling the shots for Inchcape Philippines, as he has been appointed as the company’s new Country Head. Inchcape PH handles brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, and Harley-Davidson.
Inchcape shared that McAllister brings strong international automotive leadership experience across OEM, distribution, and retail businesses. He is also regarded as having a track record in transformation, operational performance, and multi-market growth.
McAllister joins Inchcape from Al-Futtaim Automotive, a UAE-based distributor and mobility provider that has the following brands in its portfolio: Toyota, BYD, Honda, Lexus, Jeep, Volvo, and Polestar.
Inchcape said that McAllister held senior leadership roles across enterprise performance transformation and international markets. He worked full-time for Al-Futtaim Automotive for six years. Aside from that, he is also said to have held senior positions with Volkswagen Group and Ford Motor Company in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, and China.

Inchcape South Asia & Pacific Managing Director Alex Hammett said that the company is pleased to have McAllister on board, and mentioned that his experience will be valuable to Inchcape’s operations in the Philippines.
“We are pleased to welcome Robert to Inchcape. His broad international experience across automotive distribution, OEM partnerships, and business transformation will be valuable as we continue to strengthen our operations and pursue growth opportunities in the Philippines,” Hammett said.
The company added that the Philippines remains an important market for Inchcape, as it continues to distribute Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, trucks and buses, as well as Jaguar Land Rover, and operates the retail business of Harley-Davidson. The country is also home to Inchcape’s Digital Delivery Centre and Global Business Services teams, which support Inchcape’s global operations.
Inchcape PH has been in the news this year about the distributorship of several brands in its portfolio. In July 2026, Inchcape PH and Stellantis agreed to conclude their distribution partnership for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram in the Philippines by the end of June 2027. Then a month after, Inchcape PH and Changan have agreed not to renew their distribution partnership in the Philippines.

Autocar’s Take
Inchcape PH intends to make up for its loss this year as it hires a new Country Head, Robert McAllister. He is expected to strengthen the company’s operations and pursue growth opportunities in the Philippines. Inchcape is confident that McAllister will get the job done, considering his experience in the automotive industry, especially in leading the company’s operational performance for brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, and Harley-Davidson.
