The new Nissan Kicks e-Power debuted last March during the 2026 Bangkok International Motor Show. A few months after, the new Kicks was showcased by Nissan Philippines at the 10th Philippine International Motor Show. Now, it looks like Nissan PH is preparing the official launch of the new Kicks e-Power, as it is now included on the Department of Energy’s official website.
The 2027 Nissan Kicks e-Power appears on the DOE’s list with four variant options: Kicks VL, Kicks VE, Kicks LE, and Kicks LE Plus. The list also suggests that Nissan PH could offer Premium Colors for each trim, which could most likely mean paying extra to have the Kicks e-Power in an exclusive exterior paint.
The initial specs uploaded on the DOE website is a brochure taken from Nissan Thailand. As such, we can expect that the final local specs of the upcoming Kicks e-Power for the Philippine market could likely be similar to those offered in Thailand.

The Nissan Kicks e-Power for the local market could have the same e-Power hybrid system. The initial specs suggest that the 2027 Kicks will be equipped with the familiar 1.2-liter gasoline engine that acts as a power generator to charge the battery, while an electric motor drives the wheels. This setup delivers a hybrid experience that feels closer to a full-on electric vehicle (EV) in everyday driving.
The Kicks e-Power’s output figures are 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, paired with a lithium-ion battery system for smooth and responsive acceleration. Nissan highlights that the e-Power setup eliminates the need for external charging, as the gasoline engine generates electricity to power the motor.
In Thailand, the Kicks e-Power continues to be integrated with Nissan’s 360° Safety Shield suite, which includes Lead Car Departure Notification, Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, among others. The Thai-spec Kicks also comes with Nissan ProPilot, which includes features such as Intelligent Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist.

Autocar’s Take
The new Nissan Kicks e-Power could be debuting soon in the Philippines, as it now appears on the Department of Energy’s website with four variant options. The new Kicks e-Power is one of the important vehicles for Nissan Philippines, as the subcompact crossover segment is currently packed with a lot of players. Among those is the Toyota Yaris Cross, and it would be interesting to see how the new Nissan Kicks e-Power can navigate its way into the local market. Moreover, the new Kicks could help Nissan PH compete against emerging and growing Chinese car brands.
