Less than a year since its local debut, the Ford Territory Hybrid is quickly carving out a place in the Philippines’ growing electrified vehicle market. The American blue oval brand said the hybrid crossover appealed especially to first-time buyers seeking a balance of efficiency and everyday usability, hence its latest offering of deals and price adjustments.
Launched as part of Ford Philippines’ push toward electrification, the Territory Hybrid has already crossed the 1,000-unit sales mark within its first three months, an early sign of strong market reception. Much of its appeal lies in how it simplifies the transition from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles to hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technology.
Early adopters such as fitness coach Zach Peña and environmental advocate Cat Triviño highlight this ease of transition. Both previously owned ICE-powered vehicles and describe the shift to hybrid driving as seamless, requiring no significant changes in daily habits.
Peña notes the quiet operation and improved fuel efficiency as standout features, particularly for daily city driving. The Territory Hybrid runs with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor with a dedicated hybrid transmission. The car delivers a balance of performance and economy. On paper, it achieves up to 19.6 km/L under ideal conditions.

Triviño, meanwhile, points to the vehicle’s environmental benefits. Without the need for external charging, the Territory Hybrid suits her urban lifestyle, where charging infrastructure remains limited. Its ability to recover energy through regenerative braking allows it to operate efficiently without added inconvenience.
Beyond efficiency, the vehicle’s practicality is a recurring theme. With a claimed range of up to 1,000 km per tank, the Territory Hybrid is seen as a capable daily driver that can also handle longer trips. Its spacious cabin, particularly generous rear legroom, and the inclusion of a spare tire, often absent in hybrid models these days, add to its real-world appeal.
Safety and versatility also contribute to owner confidence. Multiple drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, allow drivers to adapt to varying road conditions. Meanwhile, its suite of convenience and comfort features support both city commutes and out-of-town travel.
Ford Philippines is further strengthening its value proposition with updated pricing offers.T oday, the Ford Territory Hybrid Titanium X is offered with an increased cash discount of P50,000 or a reduced all-in downpayment of P89,000. Meanwhile, the Ford Territory Hybrid Trend is now priced starting at P1,399,000.

Autocar’s Take
The Territory Hybrid is Ford Philippines’ first ever electrified model. And in essence, it launched Ford Philippines into a level of popularity it didn’t quite expect to achieve in such a short period of time. Breaching the 1,000 sales mark is no easy feat, but the Territory Hybrid pulled it off quite nicely in just three months after its local debut.
What stands out here isn’t just its efficiency, but how remarkable the transition to hybrid ownership is for many new car buyers. As observed, the hesitation around electrification isn’t about cost alone, but about disruption to routine. The Ford Territory quietly removes that barrier.
There’s no need to rethink fueling habits or adjust to unfamiliar systems. It simply works within the rhythm of daily life. In that sense, the Territory Hybrid may not feel so groundbreaking today, but its ability to normalize hybrid driving could be exactly what the market needs right now.
