Omoda & Jaecoo surpasses 1 million global sales in under 3 years

Omoda & Jaecoo has surpassed one million global vehicle sales in under three years, a feat that was officially announced at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. As such, the Chinese car brand is regarded as “setting the fastest million-unit record in global automotive history.”

Omoda & Jaecoo was officially launched in 2023, and it has operated with a brand mantra of “Born Global, Born Green, Born Unique.” With this, it has expanded and established itself in key markets. As of this writing, Omoda & Jaecoo has expanded into 64 countries and regions worldwide and is laying a robust foundation for international growth.

Its expansion includes 18 European Union markets, 15 right-hand drive markets, and 36 left-hand drive markets, including the Philippines, and it is supported by a network of 1,364 dealerships.

Omoda & Jaecoo noted that it achieved a record-breaking performance in March 2026, during which the car brand delivered 61,254 vehicles globally, translating to a 210 percent year-on-year increase. Electrified vehicles played a significant role in the said sales run, with 39,716 New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) sold in the same period, up 471 percent compared to March 2025. 

Omode & Jaecoo said that Europe is one of its strong markets, accounting for 41.5 percent of total global sales. In the UK, the Chinese car brand ranked sixth in brand sales with a 4.7 percent market share, achieving 17,951 units sold in a single month.  

“Reaching one million global sales in under three years marks an important milestone for Omoda & Jaecoo and reflects the progress made through our global strategy. This milestone highlights the progress to date and the opportunities ahead,” said Omoda & Jaecoo UK CEO Gary Lan.

On the other hand, the Jaecoo 5 EV achieved 20,000 monthly sales within just nine months of launch, and ranks number one in EV sales across several markets, including Indonesia and Thailand. In the Philippines, Omoda & Jaecoo recently introduced the Jaecoo J7 HEV.

Omoda & Jaecoo also shared at the Beijing Auto Show that is aims to continue developing new products. Central to this was the continued advancement of its Super Hybrid System (SHS), which has been positioned as a core pillar of the brand’s electrification strategy. 

The car brand also presented the global debut of its Valet Parking Driver (VPD) intelligent parking technology. Introduced to international media for the first time, the system was demonstrated through dedicated experience zones. The Beijing Auto Show also provided the platform for the debut of the Omoda 4.

Omoda & Jaecoo achieved a solid sales milestone, as it managed to surpass one million vehicle sales in three years. This shows the car brand’s dedication to offering products that appeal to a wide range of consumers. 

Through its products’ distinctive styling, as well as tech features, Omoda & Jaecoo has managed to establish itself in the global automotive industry. In the Philippines, the said car brand is also making strides as it recently launched the Jaecoo J5 HEV, further expanding its local offering. 

Omoda & Jaecoo added that it aims to achieve annual sales of 1 million units by 2027, a testament to the car brand’s vision and forward thinking.
