Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has partnered with Valenzuela City Technological College (ValTech) with the goal of helping produce highly skilled automotive mechanics. IPC donated vehicles, automotive components, and workshop tools to further enhance ValTech’s automotive training programs.

This partnership shows IPC’s continuous effort in collaborating with institutions that offer automotive training programs. To put things in perspective, IPC has also been working with TESDA training centers in Tacloban and Biñan, which strengthens its advocacy for accessible, high-quality technical education.

During the turnover ceremony in ValTech, IPC handed over training tools and resources for the school’s Automotive Servicing Course and its Technical Vocational Teacher Education program in Automotive Technology. IPC even donated one D-Max 4×2 LS AT and one Isuzu Crosswind XL MT, which will allow ValTech students to conduct hands-on diagnostic, maintenance, and repair exercises.

“At Isuzu, we believe that shaping the future of the automotive industry begins with shaping the people behind it. By supporting ValTech, we’re investing in the next generation of skilled technicians—individuals who will uphold the same standards of quality and reliability that our customers expect from Isuzu. Helping develop their potential is also our way of giving back to the communities that continue to support us,” said IPC President Mikio Tsukui.

Aside from the two Isuzu vehicles, IPC provided ValTech with advanced mechanical assemblies, including an MJT7S and JR405 Transmission Assembly, to help students understand the fundamentals of drivetrain systems. It has also turned over a turbocharged 4JK1-TC diesel engine assembly as well as an RZ4E cut-way engine to help ValTech students learn more about how a diesel power unit works. IPC also donated a tire changer, wheel balancer, and tool balancer.

The Japanese automaker shared that it will also launch a Diesel Technology Training Program soon. IPC will be selecting 100 ValTech students for the said training program, which is eyed to start in the first half of 2026. The said program includes four days of in-class learning followed by a plant visit to Isuzu Philippines’ facility.

ValTech provides free technical education to high school graduates, out-of-school youth, and unemployed adults. The institution has also committed to prioritizing IPC and its dealership network when placing future graduates.
