When talking about performance pickup trucks, the Ford Ranger Raptor will always be the main character. That’s most especially in the Philippines, where the twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 has been introduced as a permanent member of the Blue Oval lineup. The Range Raptor V6 is still unmatched up to this point, mind you.
Now, Ford is giving Raptor owners – at least those in Australia – a way to make their trucks look and feel even tougher with the release of the new Ranger Raptor Desert Pack.
Created to celebrate Ford’s wins at Australia’s grueling Finke Desert Race, the Desert Pack adds motorsport-inspired enhancements designed for both visual impact and utility.
Co-developed with off-road equipment specialist ARB, the package includes a purpose-built ARB sports bar, four roof-mounted ARB Nacho Quatro lamps, an exclusive Desert Pack decal set, and Ford Performance all-weather floor mats. The upgrades pay tribute to the Raptor’s desert racing pedigree while appealing to drivers who want something more distinctive straight from the showroom.
The Desert Pack costs AUD 5,990, including dealer fitting, and is available only for the MY26 Ranger Raptor. That’s roughly P220,000 at current exchange rates – on top of the truck’s base price. Only 500 units will be available across Australia, making it a short-run special for those looking to own a more exclusive Raptor variant.
There’s no official word yet on whether the Desert Pack or a similar accessory bundle will be available in the Philippines. But given the local market’s strong appetite for high-performance pickups – and the Raptor’s popularity in the off-roading community – we won’t be surprised if Ford Philippines explores a left-hand-drive equivalent. The combination of factory-backed accessories and motorsport-inspired design could easily resonate with buyers who see their trucks as lifestyle machines.
Even without the Desert Pack, though, the current Ranger Raptor’s credentials are still unmatched. Its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 delivers 392 hp and 583 Nm of torque – a perfect base for a halo truck built for the toughest terrain.
