Today, more than ever, brand preference is the name of the game in the highly competitive consumer market. Whether it’s food, clothing, gadgets, e-commerce, digital wallets, among others, brand preference could make or break the success of a business. This is most evident here in the Philippines where competition for what Pinoys need and want is fierce.

The auto industry is no exception to this, with names such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, and Nissan claiming top ranks in the local market today as per the latest CAMPI sales report. But one particular car company recently made headlines by being among the top 50 most preferred brands by Pinoys. It’s none other than Ford, the blue oval brand from the United States.

This news is solidified via a recent posting by Campaign, a global media group studying a wide scope of market trends in Southeast Asian regions such as Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Singapore. According to Campaign, Ford Philippines is placed at #44 in the Top 50 list. Toyota Motor Philippines lands ahead, while Honda Cars Philippines trails.

Campaign states that for Pinoys, trust, quality, and smooth customer experience, especially during hard economic times matter. This implies that in today’s world of content overload in mediums such as social media, TV, and print, Filipinos are now becoming more critical of their preferences anchored on economic situations. They are now putting emphasis on a brand’s credibility and quality of products or services that value hard earned money.

Ford Philippines Managing Director, Pedro Simoes, shared, “We thank our customers for choosing a Ford as their daily driver and our network of dealers for always ensuring our customers are well taken care of. We are inspired and motivated to take the Ford brand in the Philippines to greater heights.”

Supporting his statement, Ford Philippines says it’s now on track to further improve its market performance for the second half of 2025. Among its measures is a new electrification program, headlined by upcoming electrified models that will expand its model lineup

Additionally, Ford announced its dealership modernization program called Ford Signature 2025. This will improve how Ford dealerships look, feel, and serve customers prior, during, and even after the purchase. The program will be complemented by a new learning center where Ford will train its service technicians, equipping them with new and improved skills and knowledge, looking forward to the rise of electrification in the auto industry.
