Electric vehicles or EVs are no longer just mere futuristic ideas. They’re fast becoming a reality, especially here in the Philippines. With the rising fuel costs, growing environmental concerns, and EV-focused government incentives as stated in the EVIDA Law, many Filipino motorists are looking to EVs as alternatives.

Vietnamese carmaker, VinFast, has seen the market’s rapid electric shift, and it wants to make that transition smooth and easy so more Filipinos can experience and enjoy the EV life. For this reason, it entered the VF 6 compact EV SUV, which it pegs as the ideal car for young Filipino families who prioritize convenience, practicality, and environmental conservation.

For many, the most concerning part of owning an EV is range anxiety, the fear of not having enough battery power to last the journey. VinFast Philippines understands this, hence its offering of two VF 6 variants – the Eco and the Plus. According to the brand, the VF 6 Eco registers an EV driving range of 480 km on a single full charge, while the VF 6 Plus can reach up to 460 km.

To put it into perspective, the average driving distance from Metro Manila to San Fernando in Pampanga is approximately 70-80 km, and would take about two hours, depending on the traffic and alternate routes taken.

Using the VinFast VF 6, you can take your family on a weekend Pampanga day trip, tour the area’s popular spots like Paskuhan Village and Sky Ranch, spend some time at SM San Fernando or SM Pampanga while you top up the VF 6’s battery at the malls’ EV charging stations, and head back to Manila with enough power for unplanned stops along the way home.

And speaking of road trips in, out, or around the city, the VinFast VF 6 is ready for those with its 2,730 mm wheelbase, giving more wiggle room for occupants, especially the kids and furbabies in the backseat. Meanwhile, its 423-liter cargo area provides space for groceries, luggage, and even sports gear.

Inside, the VinFast VF 6 is built for today’s connected lifestyle. It’s got an AI-powered infotainment system that responds to voice commands. It also supports smartphone integration, ideal for listening to music, controlling navigation, and answering calls.

For many families, safety is paramount. For this, the VinFast VF 6 Plus offers the most number of protection features, such as eight airbags, adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system, among others.

VinFast Philippines concluded its message by saving the best for last – a worthwhile EV ownership experience. Until May 1, 2027, VinFast VF 6 buyers can enjoy free EV charging in all V-Green charging stations nationwide. This is backed up by a 7-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty and a 10-year or 200,000 km battery warranty.
