Toyota Motor Philippines has officially debuted the fourth Gazoo Racing (GR) vehicle in its model lineup: the GR Corolla. It officially joins its other GR siblings in the Philippines, such as the GR Supra, GR Yaris, and GR 86.
Toyota organized a track day at the Clark International Speedway in Pampanga to officially announce the arrival of the GR Corolla in the local market. The car brand also revealed that it will be offering its latest GR vehicle with four variant options to choose from, with pricing that starts at P3,811,000.
The PH-spec Toyota GR Corolla is powered by a 1.6-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that delivers 296 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The said engine can be paired to either a six-speed manual transmission or to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This puts the Toyota GR Corolla within the territory of one of its rivals, such as the Honda Civic Type R, which comes with a 2.0-liter VTEC gasoline engine that puts out 316 hp and 420 Nm.
The GR Corolla is also said to feature a revised suspension setup, wherein Toyota engineers added rebound springs to the front and rear suspension to have better traction during hard cornering.

1.6L Turbo GR Corolla A/T Premium Color (PC) – P3,975,000
1.6L Turbo GR Corolla A/T – P3,955,000
1.6L Turbo GR Corolla M/T PC – P3,831,000
1.6L Turbo GR Corolla M/T – P3,811,000
The Toyota GR Corolla can be had with either of the following exterior colors: Emotional Red (Premium Color), Precious Metal (Premium Color), Super White, or Black.
