Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially introduced its first-ever all-electric vehicle, the bZ4X. Sourced from Japan, the Toyota bZ4X is TMP’s way of reinforcing its multi-pathway approach in the country by offering customers the option to go full electric.
The bZ4X features an angular exterior design that’s highlighted with an assertive-looking front end. It comes with slim LED headlights as well as a light pattern that wraps the whole upper fascia of the electric vehicle (EV). The bZ4X also has a large front bumper that is integrated with gloss black trim.

Turning at the side, Toyota PH’s challenger in the all-electric vehicle segment comes with prominent wheel arches wrapped in gloss black trim. The bZ4X also has a stylish set of 20-inch alloy wheels, while the side profile has crisp character lines, as well as a floating roofline, black cladding, a shark fin antenna, and a panoramic moonroof. To give you more confidence to drive through harsh terrain, the Toyota bZ4X has a ground clearance of 200mm.

The rear is fitted with distinctive LED taillights that run across the power tailgate with a kick sensor. Toyota PH said that the kick sensor provides ease of access for loading and unloading items into the bZ4X’s cargo space. It also has a large bumper, giving the vehicle a confident stance when viewed from the back.
Inside, the Toyota bZ4X has a black interior theme along with a dashboard that’s equipped with modern amenities such as a seven-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen at the center.

The said touchscreen comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which is a perfect combo with the bZ4X’s dual wireless charging ports. This allows you to have a clutter-free interior, as there is no need for charging cables for your smartphone. There’s also a USB Type-C charger in the front and rear for added convenience.
Meanwhile, the seats are clad in synthetic leather with both the front and rear seats having a built-in heating function. The front seats, on the other hand, have a ventilation feature. TMP added that the driver’s seat comes with an eight-way power adjust feature that can be adjusted based on memory settings.
Safety-wise, the Toyota bZ4X is equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense with Pre-Collision System (PCS), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Adaptive High Beam System (AHS), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). Blind Spot and Panoramic View Monitors, and a Digital Inside Rearview Mirror further assist drivers by providing additional visibility of the road.

The PH-spec Toyota bZ4X comes with a 73.1 kWh Lithium-ion battery and dual electric motors that generate a combined 338 horsepower along with 338 Nm of torque. Toyota PH claims it can do up to 570 km of EV range on a single charge (based on United Nations Regulations 101). Drive modes include Eco and X-Mode.
The all-new bZ4X comes in one variant, and pricing starts at P2,699,000 for the Dark Blue Mica/Attitude Black Mica exterior color. An additional P15,000 is required should you opt for the bZ4X in Platinum White Pearl Mica/Attitude Black Mica colorway (P2,714,000), while an additional P20,000 is added for the Precious Metal/Attitude Black Mica and the Emotional Red/Attitude Black Mica colorway (P2,719,000).
Of note, every purchase of the Toyota bZ4X comes with a free wall box charger and a portable charger. It comes with a 5-year or 140,000 km vehicle warranty along with an 8-year EV battery warranty.
