With the surge in fuel prices in the Philippines due to the conflict in the Middle East, Filipino motorists have been more stringent in finding ways to make the most of every fill-up. Though there have been weeks of fuel price rollbacks, it is still far from where prices were before the tensions in the Middle East.
Here’s a bit of good news. Shell Pilipinas Corporation announced a P5-per-liter discount on all its fuel from April 24 to 30, 2026. Open to all private motorists, this offer is available at participating Shell stations nationwide. To avail of the discount, a minimum purchase of P1,500 for four-wheel vehicles and PHP 200 for two-wheel vehicles, with a maximum discount of PHP 200 per transaction.
Promo mechanics include that single receipt purchases cannot have multiple transactions or multiple products. Also, customers can only redeem the discount on the same transaction and on the same site. Shell wants to remind customers that the offer is valid only for cash, credit, and mobile wallet transactions. Meaning PO, bulk, and fleet account customers are not included in this discount promo.
Also, if you are wondering whether you can bring your jerry can and fill it up, Shell clarified that fuel must be filled into the vehicle’s fuel tank, not into any containers, to avail the discount.
Want more value in every refuel? Shell Philippines shared that its patrons may continue to get more value by using existing programs, such as loyalty programs through Shell Go+ and SM Advantage Card, which allow customers to earn points on every purchase at stations that can be redeemed as cash. Also, UnionBank Shell Power Card offers eligible customers up to 5% rebate on fuel spend.
In the public transport sector, Shell participates in the Department of Energy’s diesel subsidy program, offering a P10 per liter discount for public utility vehicles (PUVs). Additional discounts for PUV and Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) drivers are available in approximately 450 Shell stations nationwide.
