The Quezon City Automotive Surplus Dealers Association (QC-ASDA) celebrates 21st anniversary and welcomes new set of officers.
If you are into cars, you probably know this long stretch of street in Quezon City called Banawe. Flooded with anything automotive aftermarket, Banawe serves home to a lot of surplus car stores which cater used but quality car parts that come from various international markets.
Stores in Banawe actually have an alliance which keeps a close knit among the dealers in the area. Known as the Quezon City Automotive Surplus Dealers Association or QC-ASDA, the association aims to promote growth as well as conduct fair business among the member stores in Banawe.
QC-ASDA has been around in over two decades now, in fact, the group recently celebrated its 21st anniversary at the Quezon City Sports Club last May 10, 2023. What makes the anniversary celebration more significant is it also welcomed the association’s new set of officers together with the new QC-ASDA President Romulo Limpiada Jr.

Joining Limpiada in leading the association are Vice President Lolita Cinco, Secretary Mark Kevin Limpiada, Assistant Secretary Leah Limpiada, Treasurer Purita Macapugay, Auditor Merlita Cinco, Business Manager Roan Joyce Fernandez, P.R.O. Olson Louie Camacho, and Sergeant at Arms Aries Sanchez and Geomar Layante. Atty. Ameir Muksan was also introduced as the new QC-ASDA chief legal counsel. Officiating the pledge of the new officers in lieu of Atty. Bong Suntay is the guest of honor and Quezon City District IV Councilor Ma. Aurora Suntay.
During his inaugural speech, Limpiada shared his plans for the betterment of the association and its stakeholders. One of the notable points he addressed is the further strengthening of observance of the anti-fencing law along Banawe, as well as pinning down illegitimate stores in the area who usually take advantage of innocent buyers.

Ever since, the group has been working closely with the government through the LGU and the Philippine National Police – Highway Patrol Group to track down such stores in the area. The newly appointed QC-ASDA president promises to take more proactive measures to improve the image of Banawe and eradicate the car parts haven of unlawful establishments.
Limpiada also aims to improve the livelihood of the group’s stakeholders by improving their business. The newly appointed president is set to carry this plan by means of empowering and promoting the QC-ASDA cooperative which any member may wish to avail. Limpiada also looks forward to gaining new members by reaching out to automotive parts dealers outside Banawe as well as opening the group to brand-new car parts dealers as well.
The new president also aims to make QC-ASDA better known among car enthusiasts by hosting events like the awaited following to the first QC-ASDA Car Show that happened back in 2017 as well as hosting a night street bazaar which everyone can enjoy. All these on top of social responsibility initiatives that will also help to improve the area.
With a promising new administration behind QC-ASDA, surplus car parts patrons, automotive parts buyers, and anyone who frequents Banawe will be assured that any store affiliated with QC-ASDA is properly regulated and will cater fair and honest service to its consumers.
