Harley-Davidson returned to the spotlight at the 2026 MotoGP Thailand with a major regional debut that highlighted the brand’s growing engagement with Southeast Asian riders and motorsport fans. The American motorcycle manufacturer graced the high-profile racing event to introduce four new sport-touring models to the region for the first time, while also emphasizing its expanding involvement in motorsport and fan-focused experiences.

The launch showcased such models as the all-new CVO Street Glide ST and the CVO Road Glide ST, representing the brand’s top-tier factory-customized lineup under its Custom Vehicle Operations division. The event also featured the Low Rider ST and the Pan America 1250 ST. According to Harley-Davidson, each model was developed to combine long-distance touring comfort with performance-oriented engineering.

At the heart of the flagship CVO models is the Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output engine, designed to deliver increased torque and sharper throttle response. Harley-Davidson also equipped the new models with upgraded suspension systems for better riding comfort, improved stability, and sharper handling across varied road conditions. The company said the lineup targets buyers who want both power and versatility in a single platform.

Following their debut at MotoGP Thailand, the 2026 Harley-Davidson lineup is expected to gradually roll out across Asia’s emerging markets in the coming months.

Beyond the new motorcycles, Harley-Davidson created a strong presence in the MotoGP fan Village throughout the race weekend. Visitors explored a display of motorcycles and interactive attractions, including a riding simulator featuring the CVO Road Glide ST. Other models on display included the Road Glide and a race-custom Pan America, drawing attention from fans curious about the brand’s performance capabilities.

The event also highlighted Harley-Davidson’s deeper involvement in motorsports through the newly announced Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup. Sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), a global motorcycle racing governing body, and developed in partnership with MotoGP, the series will become the first one-make race to feature Harley-Davidson Bagger motorcycles.

Representing Southeast Asia in the inaugural season is Indonesia’s Niti Racing, with experienced rider Dimas Ekky Pratama set to compete on the international stage. Pratama, a former Moto2 World Championship racer, graced the race weekend to meet and greet with fans, sign autographs, and talk about his team’s preparations for the upcoming series.

Autocar’s Take

Harley-Davidson’s move to launch four new motorcycles in Southeast Asia during the MotorGP Thailand is a strategic way to push its brand into a younger, performance-oriented market. The region’s motorcycle culture is deeply tied to motorsports, and launching a stable of shiny new bikes in such a high-energy environment strengthens the brand’s connection with enthusiasts.

The introduction of the Bagger World Cup one-make race also signals Harley-Davidson’s intent to redefine how people view its heavyweight touring machines – not just as cruisers, but as legitimate racing platforms. For Southeast Asian fans, the presence of Indonesia’s Niti Racing and its rider Dimas Ekky Pratama adds a layer of regional pride that could further boost interest in the championship.
