MPT South launches ‘Drayberks: Ready 4 Safety’ Campaign

In line with its commitment to fostering safer roads across the Philippines, Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South) officially launched its 2025 road safety campaign titled “Drayberks: Ready 4 Safety” during a ceremonial event held at the Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay City.

The campaign’s launch brought together over 100 participants from public and private sectors, including representatives from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Philippine National Police – Highway Patrol Group Region IV-A, the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), and PEA Tollway Corporation (PEATC). Local government units from Metro Manila and CALABARZON, such as Taguig, Pasay, Las Piñas, and several cities in Cavite and Laguna, also showed their support.

Key transport and logistics organizations were in attendance, including Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), One Ayala Terminal, ACTO, TAS Trans Corp., Saulog Transit, DIPTA-MOA, TVTAP, and the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association Inc.

In his opening remarks, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation President and CEO Jose Ma. K. Lim underscored the broader responsibility of expressway operators in promoting safety. “This initiative is one of many that reflect MPTC’s dedication to the well-being of all road users. Road safety is a shared mission that can only be achieved through cooperation among government, industry, and the communities we serve,” Lim said.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the enhanced Drayberks campaign, now themed “Ready 4 Safety.” Led by Arlette V. Capistrano, Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management at MPT South, the updated program builds upon six years of safety education efforts. Originally launched in 2018, Drayberks has evolved into a recognized model for road safety advocacy and recently received a Bronze Stevie Award at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards for Innovation in Communications and Public Relations.

The refreshed campaign will focus on four core areas: responsible driving, expressway rules, vehicle pre-trip inspection, and road discipline. It targets drivers of all backgrounds—from public utility drivers and logistics operators to private motorists.

“‘Ready 4 Safety’ deepens our mission to empower drivers with both the knowledge and mindset to make road safety a daily priority,” Capistrano said.

The event concluded with participants reciting the Drayberks Pledge led by MPT South OIC Elnora D. Rumawak. The symbolic signing of the pledge further emphasized the collective resolve to promote safe and disciplined driving.

MPT South reaffirmed its commitment beyond building infrastructure—it is cultivating a culture of responsibility, readiness, and safety for all road users.
