MPT Mobility celebrates trailblazing women entrepreneurs

Content Creator Jenela Tuguinay-Cachero, popularly known as Jenela in Japan

As we honor International Women’s Month, we recognize the women who are reshaping industries, uplifting communities, and proving that passion, perseverance, and purpose can drive meaningful change. Whether by championing sustainability, building businesses that empower others, or leveraging innovation to create opportunities, these women embody the same forward-thinking values that fuel MPT Mobility—innovation, community, and progress.

From Nurse to Entrepreneur: Jenela Tuguinay-Cachero’s Journey

What happens when a nurse trades scrubs for a business venture? For Jenela Tuguinay-Cachero, the leap from healthcare in Japan to entrepreneurship and content creation in the Philippines was fueled by the desire for financial independence and a deep-rooted commitment to family.

“Passion alone isn’t enough,” she shares. “You need patience, resilience, and an openness to learning. There will always be challenges, but staying adaptable is key.”

Now juggling multiple roles—including being an expectant mother—Jenela is redefining balance in work and life. “Pregnancy has made me more intentional with my time and energy. It’s also deepened my understanding of sustainability—not just in business, but in the life I want to create for my child.”

Frequent travels from Baguio to Manila have made MPT Mobility’s solutions a crucial part of her journey. “Easytrip RFID has been a game-changer,” she says. “Less time spent in cash lanes means more time for my business and my family.”

Her advice to women pursuing their dreams? “You are far more capable than you think. Trust your journey, surround yourself with people who uplift you, and never underestimate the power of self-belief.”

Building a Sustainable Future: The Story of Simula PH

For Maan Aguila-Oliva and Celina Reyes-Alejandrino, co-founders of Simula PH, entrepreneurship began with a single realization: small changes can create a big impact. Their eco-conscious brand was born from a conversation about plastic waste, inspired by a viral video of a sea turtle harmed by a plastic straw.

“That video struck a chord with us,” Maan recalls. “We started making small changes in our own lives—using refillable bottles, reusing bags—then launched our first product, a net bag. It sold out quickly, and we realized the potential to make a difference.”

Celina adds, “Sustainability isn’t just a trend—it’s a way of life. We want to make sustainable choices more accessible, not just in the products people buy, but in how they think.”

Despite challenges, they remain committed to their mission. “Change doesn’t happen overnight, but every small step matters,” Celina explains.

For Maan and Celina, efficiency in mobility translates to efficiency in business. “MPT Mobility has made our travels smoother, helping us focus more on growing Simula PH and inspiring people to embrace sustainability.”
