Mober, a pioneer in sustainable logistics in the Philippines, has unveiled Central Charge, the country’s largest commercial EV charging hub, further positioning the nation as a leader in green mobility.
Strategically located along D. Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City, Central Charge spans 3,000 square meters and houses 56 charging ports, supporting Mober’s growing fleet of e-vans and e-trucks. The facility operates on a three-shift system, accommodating up to 200 EV trucks daily to ensure uninterrupted logistics operations.
Unlike standard public EV stations, Central Charge is custom-built for logistics efficiency, featuring 50 7kW DC chargers and two 60kWh fast-charging units to minimize vehicle downtime. Its proximity to Metro Manila’s key commercial zones ensures smooth mid- and last-mile deliveries for clients such as IKEA, Nestlé Philippines, and Maersk.
“This milestone marks a significant step in addressing infrastructure challenges in EV logistics,” said Dennis Ng, Founder and CEO of Mober. “Central Charge reinforces our commitment to sustainability while ensuring operational efficiency for our clients. With this hub, we are helping drive the Philippines toward a greener, more efficient logistics sector.”
Building on its first EV charging hub in Zamora Street, Pasay City, launched in 2023, Mober is expanding its green initiatives. The company is exploring the integration of solar photovoltaic panels and a 500kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at Central Charge, further reducing its carbon footprint.
Mober’s latest initiative follows its launch of the Philippines’ first electric tractor head truck in February, underscoring its leadership in zero-emission logistics. Aligning with the Electric Vehicles and Charging Systems (EVIDA) Act, Mober continues to set new benchmarks in sustainable transport solutions.
