The new Jetour T2, sold as the Traveller 7 in China, has been officially launched, and it comes with a refreshed front end that is highlighted by sleeker styling than the outgoing or current model available in the Philippine market.
Jetour’s midsize boxy SUV keeps its overall rugged character, but its front end now features a more refined look, making it sleeker and arguably cleaner than the old version. The most noticeable design update on the Jetour T2’s front fascia is the new headlight design, which now features a circular design. The T2’s new headlights give the T2 a splash of retro, classic look, which has a sleeker finish than the aggressive-looking square headlights from the pre-facelifted version.
Another design update seen on the new T2 is that the Chinese car brand decided to drop the JETOUR lettering on the front grille. It is now fitted with a full-width light bar, which makes the T2’s front end refined and a bit toned down. The lower front grille also gets a design makeover. Instead of the brute black cladding, the facelifted version now has a fully body-colored lower front grille that’s integrated with a more subtle faux skid plate. To add, the fender flares now also come in body color instead of being integrated with black plastic cladding.

The rear, on the other hand, is pretty much similar to the outgoing model. However, Jetour fitted subtle design updates for the refreshed T2. The spare wheel cover, which still comes with an AirPods-like or earbuds-like silhouette, has been updated. The rear bumper also gets a design makeover and now comes with a body-color finish compared to the black cladding material seen on the outgoing model.
Inside, the facelifted Jetour T2 has a revamped interior, which is highlighted by the new steering wheel design, new center console, new gear selector, revised door cards, and restyled aircon vents. The new Jetour T2 also comes with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, which are both powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 processor. Jetour said that it supports multiple continuous commands and features off-road instruments, a free split screen, and flexible interaction functions, making information acquisition more efficient and operation more convenient. It also has 12-layer Cloud seats, a 23-speaker audio system, and double-layered acoustic glass.

The new Jetour T2 is powered by either a conventional gasoline engine or a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The gasoline engine options can be a 1.5-liter turbo engine that delivers 181 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque or a 2.0-liter turbo that produces 251 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch or eight-speed automatic.
Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid version comes with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with an electric motor that generates 502 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. It is available with 26.61 kWh or 45.12 kWh battery options. The new Jetour T2 plug-in hybrid is said to offer an electric driving range of 140 to 251 kilometers (CLTC), with a combined range of 1,400 kilometers.

Autocar’s Take
The new Jetour T2 comes with a restyled front end, which arguably looks more refined and sleeker than the outgoing model. The circular headlights give the T2 a classic look, while the revamped front bumper makes the T2 more appealing to a wider range of potential clients since it has veered away from having a front end that looks overly aggressive. The addition of the full-width light bar on the front is also a nice touch, adding style points to the T2’s overall fascia. That said, the T2 might have a less aggressive front end, but its sleeker fascia could attract a wider set of future owners.
