IsuzuPH holds 20th Service Skills Olympics

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) successfully concluded the 20th edition of its annual Isuzu Service Skills Olympics (ISSO) on April 26, 2025. Held nationwide across its dealership network, the ISSO reflects IPC’s enduring commitment to aftersales service excellence—one of the driving forces behind its long-standing status as the Philippines’ number one truck brand.

With this year’s theme, “Honoring Skills, Gearing the Future,” the 2025 ISSO not only commemorates two decades of competition but also underscores IPC’s proactive stance in adapting to evolving industry demands while investing in its workforce’s technical and customer service competencies.

“This year’s theme could not be more fitting,” said IPC President Mikio Tsukui. “We gather to celebrate two decades of dedication and to inspire our aftersales dealer network to lead the next era of service excellence. As competition intensifies, our service quality—alongside our vehicle reliability—will define the Isuzu difference.”

The competition assessed dealership personnel across three key categories: Parts Staff, Service Advisor, and Service Technician, evaluating not only technical knowledge but also customer engagement, teamwork, and diagnostic proficiency under pressure.

  • Parts Staff Category: Isuzu Makati emerged as Champion, followed by Isuzu Cabanatuan (1st Runner-Up) and Isuzu Bulacan (2nd Runner-Up).
  • Service Advisor Category: Isuzu Calapan claimed the top spot, with Isuzu Cabanatuan and Isuzu Bulacan taking 1st and 2nd Runner-Up, respectively.
  • Service Technician Category: Isuzu Butuan led as Champion, while Isuzu Alabang and Isuzu Cagayan De Oro followed as 1st and 2nd Runner-Up.

Additionally, Mr. Sani James Maghanoy of Isuzu Cagayan De Oro was honored with the Special Top Technician Award for exceptional technical performance.

Now in its 20th year, the ISSO continues to reinforce IPC’s aftersales capabilities through skill development, ensuring its dealership network consistently meets and exceeds customer expectations. This initiative forms part of IPC’s broader vision as a “Responsible Partner,” dedicated to both product quality and top-tier customer service.
