Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has turned over three customized N-Series (NLR77H) shuttle units to Univet Nutrition and Animal Healthcare Company (UNAHCO), giving the agricultural solutions provider a mobile platform for training livestock and poultry raisers across the country.

The units will support UNAHCO’s SEMINAR on WHEELS program, which brings seminars, product demonstrations and practical farming information to communities where access to technical education may be limited. The turnover was carried out with IPC dealer partner Industrial & Transport Equipment Inc. (INTECO) and Isuzu INTECO Quezon Avenue.

UNAHCO provides animal nutrition, veterinary health and farm management solutions to livestock and poultry raisers in the Philippines. Through the mobile learning initiative, it aims to help hog raisers, aspiring livestock entrepreneurs, local feed store owners and agrivet dealers improve farming practices and animal health management.

“At Isuzu Philippines, we believe our vehicles are more than just means of transportation,” said IPC Division Head for Sales Mario Ojales. He said the customized shuttles would help bring agricultural knowledge directly to farming communities and support UNAHCO’s work with farmers.

Built by Almazora Motors Corporation, each NLR77H has a 23-seat, side-facing configuration intended to accommodate on-site learning sessions. The units also come with audio-visual equipment and HDMI connectivity for presentations and interactive discussions. A mini refrigerator is provided for refreshments during trips and field activities, while a dash camera is included to support operational safety.

Power comes from Isuzu’s 3.0-liter 4JH1-TC diesel engine. Isuzu says the NLR77H’s durability, fuel efficiency and low operating costs make it suitable for regular travel to provincial and remote communities, helping UNAHCO sustain and expand its outreach.

The program’s training topics cover swine management, biosecurity, water medication, improving pig farm operations, managing daily farm routines and increasing farm profitability. It also aims to help participants identify and address common swine health concerns while adopting modern and efficient farming practices.

UNAHCO will deploy the three shuttles across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, extending the program’s reach to livestock and poultry communities in different parts of the country.

The project is another example of how its commercial vehicles can be configured for work beyond transport. The company said the partnership reflects its role as a responsible partner in initiatives intended to bring agricultural education, technical expertise and practical solutions closer to farmers.

Autocar’s Take

Turning commercial vehicles into mobile classrooms is a practical way to address one of the challenges facing agricultural communities: access to useful, timely training. UNAHCO’s SEMINAR on WHEELS program has a clear purpose, and the three Isuzu NLR77H shuttles give it the means to reach farmers beyond established training venues.

The equipment and seating make the vehicles suitable for instruction, but their real value will depend on how consistently the teams visit communities and how relevant the sessions are to local needs. If sustained over time, the brand‘s initiative could help make better farming practices more accessible across rural communities nationwide.
