Three Hyundai vehicles made it into the list of the best family cars in the United States: the Palisade, Santa Fe, and Ioniq 5. These Hyundai models are among the vehicles to be included in Kelley Blue Book’s 2026 Best Family Cars.
Founded in 1926, Kelley Blue Book (KBB) is considered the vehicle valuation and information source trusted and relied upon by consumers and the automotive industry in the United States. Kelley Blue Book is said to provide transparent, objective information and data-driven, innovative tools for consumers, automotive dealers, and manufacturers.
The KBB Best Family Cars list is an annual recognition of vehicles that are evaluated as ideal for families. The cars included in its annual list are evaluated against factors such as safety, reliability, efficiency, and overall value. As such, Hyundai shared that the Palisade, Santa Fe, and Ioniq 5 show the car brand’s dedication to producing vehicles that put focus on what families prioritize every day, from peace of mind to real-world usability.

Recognized for delivering on the everyday needs of families, Palisade, Santa Fe, and Ioniq 5 each bring a unique combination of space, comfort, safety, and flexibility, according to the Korean automaker. From Palisade’s spacious three-row interior and thoughtfully designed storage to Santa Fe’s versatile layout that adapts between passenger and cargo needs, and Ioniq 5’s open, tech-forward cabin that makes daily driving easier.
Meanwhile, KBB Managing Editor Sean Tucker noted that the best family vehicles are those that can “keep up with the realities of everyday life – whether that’s road trips, a busy weekend schedule or daily school drop-offs.”
Aside from Hyundai vehicles, the Honda CR-V, the Toyota RAV4, and the Kia Sorento also made it into KBB’s 2026 Best Family Cars.
