The Hyundai Palisade is currently among the best cars in the United States, having been named one of the three winning vehicles at the 2026 North American Car, Truck, and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) awards.
The Hyundai Palisade bagged the 2026 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year at the NACTOY awards. The Korean automaker shared that the said accolade reaffirms its commitment to delivering family-focused SUVs that are integrated with premium quality, advanced technology, and everyday usability.
The NACTOY awards are composed of a jury of 50 independent automotive journalists from the U.S. and Canada, representing print, digital, television, radio, and social media. Hyundai said that the vehicles or the finalists at the NACTOY awards are evaluated through an extensive process, including long-term driving, comparative testing, and detailed assessments of design, performance, innovation, safety, and value.

Axios Transportation Correspondent Joann Muller, who is part of the jury, said that the Palisade is a great family car that offers a perfect blend of value and efficiency.
“The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is a great family car, with 3 rows of seating, a posh interior, and lots of safety equipment. [With] a new hybrid powertrain available, it’s the perfect blend of value, technology, and efficiency,” Muller shared.
U.S. News & World Report Senior Editor for Vehicle Testing John Vincent expressed that the Palisade is simply the best SUV one can buy in the U.S. today.
“After raising the bar as to what three-row SUVs could be with its first generation, the redesigned 2026 Hyundai Palisade, and especially its hybrid model, again sets the standard in the class. It’s simply the best SUV you can buy today,” Vincent said.

The Hyundai Palisade bested two other finalists for the 2026 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year award, which includes the Lucid Gravity and the Nissan Leaf. Meanwhile, the other winning vehicles at the 2026 NACTOY are the following:
– North American Car of the Year: Dodge Charger
– North American Truck of the Year: Ford Maverick Lobo
Locally, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is available with a starting price of P3,980,000. It comes with a five-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year high-voltage battery warranty.
