
Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI) and Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), operators of the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC), have entered into a landmark agreement with Tamang Ride PH, a road safety advocacy initiative spearheaded by A Child’s Trust is Ours to Nurture (ACTION), Inc. This collaboration marks a significant step in advancing road safety education and awareness in the Philippines, particularly among children and novice drivers.
The Tamang Ride PH movement aims to provide a platform for community engagement in road safety issues, encouraging active involvement to build awareness. Honda has pledged its full support, including a PHP 1 million donation through HFI to develop the Tamang Ride App. This app will serve as a hub for educational content, advocacy materials, and experiential testimonials from road users while facilitating data collection to improve safety measures.
Additionally, HPI is contributing PHP 980,000 for the development of the Tamang Ride Educational Module. Honda’s original Kids on Safety and Teen Smart programs will be incorporated into this module, with HSDC leading the Training the Trainers initiative and conducting pilot runs in 2025. These efforts complement Honda’s “Safety for Everyone” and “Safety for Our Family” campaigns, underscoring its commitment to fostering a road safety culture nationwide.
HSDC, established in 2008, serves as a premier venue for training motorcycle riders and automobile drivers. It partners with public and private organizations to promote road safety proficiency and mindset, including specialized programs for children and teens. The collaboration with Tamang Ride PH builds on Honda’s long-standing advocacy, strengthened by its partnership with the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and its historic multi-year commitment to road safety with the United Nations.

Honda’s goal to halve traffic-related deaths by 2030 and achieve zero road crashes by 2050 reflects its dedication to protecting Filipino families.
