Geely is a car brand that made headlines when it debuted in the Philippines back in 2019. During its launch phase in the local market, the Coolray is a major contributor to Geely’s popularity in the Philippine automotive industry, as it was well received for its value-for-money in-car features and sporty, assertive exterior design.

As Geely celebrates its sixth anniversary, the car brand is offering the Coolray with a P150,000 cash discount to show its gratitude to the local market. The Geely Coolray is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that puts out 172 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a seven-speed wet-type dual clutch automatic transmission with four driving modes.

The new Geely Coolray also features a start-stop system that’s said to help reduce fuel consumption. Geely claims the Coolray’s fuel efficiency can reach 17.24 km/l.

Aside from the Coolray, Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) is also slashing the retail price for the seven-seater Okavango Elite by P100,000. This special offer is once again part of GMP’s way of showing its gratitude to the local market. The Geely Okavango Elite is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine integrated with a 48V Electric Motor Synergy (EMS). This allows the Okavango Elite to deliver 190 hp and 300 Nm of torque.

Other than the special deals for the Coolray and the Okavango Elite, GMP is determined to reestablish its foothold in the local market. The car brand is now operating directly as a subsidiary of Geely Auto Group.

“Our progress has never been ours alone. It belongs to the customers who chose us, and the dealers who carried our name in their communities. This anniversary is about standing with them as we move forward together,” said GMP CEO Sylva Yu.

This means that GMP now has stronger support from Geely Global, providing the local team a firmer foundation to sustain growth, strengthen dealer partnerships, and deliver consistent care to customers nationwide.
