In a move to close April 2026 on a high note, GAC Motor Philippines will adopt a digital-first approach to unveil the 2026 Emzoom. This gives Filipino car buyers an early look at the updated crossover through a livestream event on April 29 at 7:00 PM.

Broadcast simultaneously on MG Philippines’ official Facebook and Instagram channels, the event signals a resurgence of digital-based car launches that had become the standard format during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The difference now is that not only will this approach allow enthusiasts and potential buyers to tune in from anywhere, but the atmosphere of the online launch will also be expected to be more positive, as there is no longer a widespread virus to worry about.

To drive home the positive aura, the livestream launch will be hosted by automotive personality Caco Tirona, known for his lively on-screen presence. Tirona will walk viewers through the latest updates and key highlights of the refreshed Emzoom.

The 2026 Emzoon arrives as an evolution of one of GAC’s more recognizable offerings in the local market. This latest version introduces a more refined exterior design, featuring a redesigned front grille and sharper styling cues to give the vehicle a stronger road presence.

Inside, the cabin now features a larger 14.6-inch infotainment screen, alongside enhanced connectivity options, including wireless smartphone integration. These additions align with the growing importance of seamless digital integration in modern vehicles, particularly among younger and tech-savvy buyers.

GAC will also introduce two variants of the 2026 Emzoom: the Emzoom GB and the Emzoom R-Style. Each variant caters to different buyer preferences, with unique styling elements and feature sets designed to appeal to a wider range of customers.

Beyond aesthetics and connectivity, select variants will offer added convenience and comfort features. These include ventilated seats, wireless charging, and advanced parking assistance systems, among others. MG sees these features becoming increasingly common in the segment, appealing to buyers seeking everyday usability.

Full specifications, pricing, and detailed configurations will be disclosed during the livestream itself. As such, the online launch will be the primary source of official information regarding the 2026 GAC Emzoom.

Autocar’s Take

GAC’s decision to launch the 2026 Emzoom through a livestream is timely and practical. It meets buyers where they already are — online. This method builds more anticipation in a more engaging way than a more traditional way of launching a new car. The updates themselves reflect what today’s drivers value, particularly in terms of connectivity and everyday convenience.

Features like a larger infotainment screen and wireless smartphone integration are no longer optional; they are now expected. A notable aspect is how these updates are distributed across clearly defined variants, offering buyers easy-to-digest options without making the range feel confusing. It keeps things simple, while still addressing different preferences in a way that should connect with local buyers.
