Caltex Philippines, through its local parent company Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), recently inaugurated two new Caltex fuel stations in Makat. The move aims to give motorists more convenient access to premium fuels and automotive services along two of the metro’s busiest routes. The newly opened Caltex Magallanes station along SLEX-Magallanes and the reopened Caltex Harvard station on EDSA form part of the company’s ongoing expansion strategy.
According to Caltex, Makati remains one of the country’s busiest business districts and a major gateway connecting Metro Manila to southern provinces. Recognizing the area’s strategic importance, Chevron Philippines identified the city as a key location for further network growth.
CPI General Manager and Country Chairman Pongtorn “Bon” Tangmanuswong shared that Makati’s heavy traffic volume and proximity to major destinations make it an ideal market for Caltex’s products and services. The new stations are expected to better serve motorists traveling for both work and leisure.

Drivers visiting either station can fuel up with Caltex Platinum with Techron, Caltex Silver with Techron, Caltex Diesel with Techron D, and Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D. These fuel products are designed to help maintain engine cleanliness and optimize vehicle performance.
The Caltex Magallanes station occupies a strategic location before the Magallanes Skyway entry, making it a convenient stop for motorists heading toward Bicutan, Sucat, Alabang, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, and Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Aside from fuel services, the site also houses a Caltex autoPro workshop offering vehicle maintenance, change oil services, and comprehensive vehicle checks using Caltex Havoline and Delo lubricants.
Meanwhile, the Caltex Harvard station marks the brand’s return to the EDSA-Harvard corridor after a four-year absence. Located in Barangay Pinagkaisahan, the station caters to daily commuters, office workers, and motorists passing through one of Metro Manila’s busiest thoroughfares. The site also features Goldilocks and Seattle’s Best Coffee, providing customers with convenient food and beverage options during their stopovers.
Autocar’s Take
The opening of the new Caltex Makati stations proves how fuel retailers are now focusing on convenience, accessibility, and customer experience. Beyond simply selling fuel, modern service stations are becoming mobility hubs where motorists can refuel, maintain their vehicles, grab refreshments, and continue their journeys with minimal disruption.
The strategic locations of Caltex Magallanes and Caltex Harvard address the needs of both daily commuters and long-distance travelers. As traffic volumes continue to grow across Metro Manila, expanding the Caltex fuel station network in high-demand corridors remains a practical move that benefits motorists and supports urban mobility.
