Ferrari PH gets 2024 banner year, launches 12Cilindri

Ferrari Philippines had a strong 2024, selling 16 units, with the Ferrari 296 leading the sales. Looking ahead, the brand aims to surpass 20 units in 2025, bolstered by the arrival of the all-new Ferrari 12Cilindri, which was officially launched on February 17, 2025, at the Velocità Motors showroom in Northeast Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila.

The Ferrari 12Cilindri is the latest front-engine V12 grand tourer from Maranello, succeeding the acclaimed 812 Superfast. As its name suggests, the 12Cilindri continues Ferrari’s tradition of naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engines, offering a blend of performance, luxury, and heritage.

Under the hood, the 12Cilindri is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 830 horsepower and 678 Nm of torque. This allows it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 340 km/h. Unlike many modern supercars that have adopted turbocharging and hybrid technology, Ferrari has chosen to refine its naturally aspirated V12 with titanium connecting rods and aluminum alloy pistons, pushing the redline to an exhilarating 9,500 rpm.

The exterior design pays homage to Ferrari’s classic GT lineage, particularly the iconic 365 GTB/4 “Daytona.” The sleek, sculpted body features a long hood, aggressive LED headlights, and 21-inch forged wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport S5 tires. Aerodynamic elements include a 25mm nolder on the boot lid, active aero spoilers, and strategically placed vortex generators to enhance performance and stability at high speeds.

Inside, the 12Cilindri embodies Ferrari’s signature dual-cockpit architecture, with a driver-focused layout and modern technology. The dashboard is divided into three levels, seamlessly integrating with the door panels. A 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster provides key driving information, while a 10.25-inch central touchscreen controls vehicle settings. Additionally, an 8.8-inch passenger display allows co-drivers to engage with the car’s functions. Buyers can opt for premium features such as a 15-speaker Burmester surround sound system, racing seats, and a panoramic roof for a more immersive experience.

The launch event in Greenhills was attended by Ferrari enthusiasts, media representatives, and industry insiders, who got an exclusive first look at the 12Cilindri. Guests were treated to an in-depth presentation on the car’s engineering and design philosophy, with Ferrari specialists on hand to provide insights and answer questions.

Jacob Ang, General Manager of Velocità Motors, shared his excitement about the launch, stating, “The 12Cilindri represents the pinnacle of Ferrari’s engineering. Its naturally aspirated V12 delivers an unparalleled driving experience, and we are confident it will be well received by our clients in the Philippines.”

Luis Gono, Ferrari Philippines after sales head, a renowned car enthusiast and Ferrari owner, also expressed his admiration for the new model, saying, “The 12Cilindri is a dream come true for purists like me. The sound, the power, and the design make it an instant classic. Ferrari has truly outdone itself.”

In the Philippines, the Ferrari 12Cilindri starts at PHP 43.9 million, with customization options potentially pushing the price beyond PHP 50 million. For those seeking an open-air driving experience, the 12Cilindri Spider is also available for order. Every purchase includes Ferrari’s seven-year maintenance program, ensuring worry-free ownership.

With the introduction of the 12Cilindri, Ferrari Philippines is set to elevate its sales performance in 2025, catering to enthusiasts who seek the ultimate expression of grand touring excellence. As the automotive industry shifts towards electrification, the 12Cilindri serves as a powerful reminder of Ferrari’s commitment to delivering pure, naturally aspirated V12 excitement.
