EastWest has expanded its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in the Visayas and Mindanao through the launch of its EasyMobility for Community Program. This new initiative was highlighted by donating vehicles to nonprofit institutions that provide education, skills training, and community services.
The Filipino-owned universal bank recently held a ceremonial signing and turnover at its Escario Store in Cebu City, marking the first phase of the initiative. The EastWest EasyMobility for Community Program aims to improve mobility for partner organizations, allowing them to reach more communities and deliver essential services more efficiently.
Under the initial rollout, EastWest donated 2024 and 2025 model-year subcompact sedans to several institutions across Cebu, Negros Occidental, and Davao City. The recipients include CITE (Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise) Technical Institute Inc., St. John Bosco Parish in Liloan, Cebu, Don Bosco Training Center in Liloan, Don Bosco Provincial House in Cebu City, Don Bosco Spirituality Center in Davao City, St. John Bosco Parish in Murcia, Negros Occidental, Mary Our Help Technical Institute for Women–Cebu Inc. in Minglanilla, and Don Bosco Retreat House in Talisay City.
The bank said the donated vehicles will help strengthen logistics, field operations, and outreach programs, enabling the organizations to serve more students, families, and underserved communities.

Many of the beneficiary institutions focus on youth development, technical education, values formation, and livelihood programs. CITE, for instance, provides industry-aligned technical education that equips students with skills for employment and sustainable careers, while Don Bosco organizations continue to deliver education, vocational training, and community-based initiatives.
EastWest said the EasyMobility for Community Program anchors its commitment to supporting institutions whose work depends on reliable transportation. By providing mobility solutions, the bank hopes its partners can dedicate more resources to expanding educational opportunities and community outreach.
EastWest Chief Executive Officer Jerry G. Ngo said the initiative is designed to help trusted partners extend their reach and create lasting impact through education, skills development, and essential services. Following the successful launch in Cebu, EastWest plans to expand the EasyMobility for Community Program to more partner institutions across the country.
Autocar’s Take
CSR programs become more meaningful when they address practical challenges. Through the EastWest EasyMobility for Community Program, the bank goes beyond financial assistance by providing vehicles that help nonprofit organizations reach more people. Reliable transportation can make a real difference for schools, training centers, and outreach groups working in underserved communities.
Supporting education, technical skills development, and community services through improved mobility creates benefits that extend well beyond the initial donation. As the program expands nationwide, it has the potential to strengthen grassroots organizations and demonstrate how targeted corporate initiatives can produce lasting social impact across the Philippines.
