Filipina racing driver Bianca Bustamante has officially signed with CUPRA KIRO as the team’s Development Driver for the FIA Formula E World Championship. This follows her strong performance in the 2024 Formula E all-women test in Jarama, Spain, where she finished third overall.
Bustamante will begin her integration with the team at the 2025 Jakarta E-Prix from June 20 to 21, joining CUPRA KIRO on-site and working alongside full-time drivers Dan Ticktum and David Beckmann. She will don the team’s signature copper and fluorescent yellow colors as she shadows the race operations and participates in team activities.
Her first on-track appearance for CUPRA KIRO will take place during the official Formula E rookie test at the Tempelhof Street Circuit in Berlin on July 14, 2025. The Berlin E-Prix will mark Bustamante’s first competitive run on the circuit, which is known for its technical layout and unforgiving surface. To support her preparation, CUPRA KIRO will provide extensive simulator sessions and technical briefings in the lead-up to the event.
In parallel with her new role, Bustamante continues to compete in the GB3 Championship, further developing her skills in single-seater competition as she pursues her long-term goal of reaching Formula 1.

“I’m thrilled to join CUPRA KIRO as the team’s Development Driver. Even in the short time we’ve worked together, I’ve seen their bold, forward-thinking approach to racing. Collaborating with Dan, David, and the entire crew is a tremendous opportunity at this stage in my career. I’m eager to take in all I can in Jakarta and look forward to driving the Season 11 car in Berlin this July.”

“We’re pleased to welcome Bianca to the CUPRA KIRO family. In just three years since entering single-seaters, she has not only made her mark as a competitive driver but also as an advocate for women in motorsport. We’re excited to support her growth and look forward to seeing her contribution to the team—starting with her participation in Berlin’s rookie test.”
