Aston Martin introduces the new Vanquish Volante

Aston Martin has taken open-top motoring to new heights with the introduction of the Vanquish Volante, the most powerful convertible in the brand’s history. Designed as the flagship of the ultra-luxury performance segment, this latest iteration continues the marque’s tradition of blending exhilarating power with timeless elegance.

At the heart of the Vanquish Volante lies a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12, producing an astonishing 835PS and 1000Nm of torque. With a top speed of 214mph, it shares its place as the fastest front-engine production car alongside its coupe sibling. Despite its convertible configuration, weight gain has been minimized, ensuring supercar-level dynamics.

The engineering team developed the coupe and Volante simultaneously to retain the dynamic integrity of the Vanquish lineup. The inclusion of an advanced electronic rear differential (E-diff), an eight-speed ZF gearbox, and a newly tuned suspension system featuring Bilstein DTX dampers guarantees superior handling and control. Aston Martin’s use of a bonded aluminum structure increases lateral stiffness by 75% over previous models, ensuring a rigid yet lightweight foundation.

Visually, the Vanquish Volante exudes sophistication. Retaining the striking silhouette of its coupe counterpart, it features an aerodynamically optimized design with a re-engineered vaned grille and new outer bumper vents. The lightweight K-fold fabric roof deploys in just 14 seconds and offers class-leading thermal insulation and acoustics.

Inside, the cabin is a blend of cutting-edge technology and craftsmanship. A 10.25-inch digital driver display and a matching touchscreen infotainment system ensure a modern yet intuitive user experience. Sound is delivered through a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system, while extensive customization options through ‘Q by Aston Martin’ allow buyers to create a truly bespoke vehicle.

Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman emphasized the importance of designing the Volante alongside the coupe: “The challenge is always to maintain Aston Martin’s core brand DNA. Vanquish Volante not only captures immense performance but also embodies noble beauty and presence on the road.”

As Aston Martin celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Volante name, the Vanquish Volante cements its status as a true flagship. Orders are now open, with first deliveries scheduled for Q3 2025.
