Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has introduced the Ioniq 9, making its mark as the automaker’s flagship electric SUV in the local lineup.
According to the automaker, the new Ioniq 9 embodies Hyundai’s philosophy of human-centric, cutting-edge technologies.
This full-sized 6-seat electric SUV is the ideal family vehicle. Its profile has sedan-like aerodynamics, with a unique front end with cube projection headlights and an intelligent front lighting system. Standard equipment includes flush-type door handles and digital side mirrors. It also has a panoramic sunroof and rolls on a set of 21-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 285/45 rubbers
The Ioniq 9 is powered by a 610-volt, 110.3 kWh Lithium-ion battery, which runs a Permanent Magnet Synchronous motor and produces up to out 308 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque, driving all four wheels. The family SUV has a range of 600 kilometers on a full charge, and has Multi-Terrain Control and V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality.
The Ioniq 9’s interior is spacious and comfortable, featuring relaxation comfort seats and full-flat capacity to create a lounge-like atmosphere. The instrument cluster is a curved digital 12.3-inch LCD screen, which seamlessly blends into the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, routing the sound through a 14-speaker Bose audio system. Cargo space is a large 1,323 liters.
The Ioniq 9 is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense – Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot View Monitor with With Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, Parking Distance Warning (Forward + Side + Reverse), Manual Speed Limit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert and Surround View Monitor. It also has a comprehensive suite of other basic safety features, which includes 10 airbags.
The Ioniq 9 can be ordered at select Hyundai dealerships and is priced at P4,580,000. Each IONIQ 9 is bespoke and made-to-order, available in ten exterior colors and four interior colors, which can be mixed and matched into 39 different combinations.
