Araneta City Releases Holy Week Schedule for Malls, Transport, and Masses

Quezon City, Philippines – As the Holy Week approaches, Araneta City unveils its schedule for mall operations, transport services, and holy masses to cater to the needs of residents and visitors during this significant religious period.

Mall Hours: Araneta City Malls, including Gateway Mall 1, Gateway Mall 2, Ali Mall, and Farmers Plaza, will be open for most of the Holy Week, with adjusted hours as follows:

  • March 25 to 27 (Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday): Open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM
  • March 28 to 29 (Maundy Thursday & Good Friday): Closed, including Sagrada Familia Church
  • March 30 to 31 (Black Saturday and Easter Sunday): Open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Palm Sunday Mass Schedule: Catholic faithful are encouraged to participate in Palm Sunday masses at Sagrada Familia Church and Araneta City chapels.

Provincial Bus Operations: For those traveling to and from Araneta City during Holy Week, provincial bus services will be available at Araneta City Bus Port with various schedules:

  • Pampanga: San Fernando (Hourly: 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM), Dau (Hourly: 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
  • Tarlac: Tarlac City (Hourly: 6:00 AM – 9:00 PM)
  • Laguna: Calamba City (Hourly: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), Sta. Cruz (Hourly: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Batangas: Batangas City (Hourly: 4:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
  • Quezon: Lucena City (Hourly: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Pangasinan: San Carlos (Hourly: 4:00 AM – 10:00 PM), Dagupan (Hourly: 4:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
  • Baguio: Baguio City (6:30 AM and 5:30 PM only)

City Bus and Beep Jeep Operations: City buses and Beep Jeep services at Araneta City Bus Station will operate from 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM throughout Holy Week.

Market Operations: Farmers Market and Farmers Garden will maintain their operations during Holy Week, offering fresh produce to patrons. However, some shops and tenants may be closed on March 28 to 29, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.

Araneta City ensures that residents and visitors have access to essential services and religious observances during the Holy Week, fostering a sense of community and support during this solemn period.
