MG Motor Philippines has reopened its renovated dealership in Pulilan, Bulacan, expanding its local retail and after-sales facilities while bringing five New Energy Vehicle (NEV) models to motorists in the area.

Inaugurated on October 22, the refreshed MG Pulilan dealership features an updated showroom, a fully equipped service center and a customer lounge. The development strengthens the brand’s presence in Bulacan and nearby communities, giving local customers access to its vehicle lineup, sales assistance and maintenance services.

The showroom can accommodate four vehicles, allowing visitors to explore the brand’s offerings in a more spacious setting. Its service center is staffed by certified technicians trained to work on both conventional gasoline-powered vehicles and New Energy Vehicles, providing maintenance and aftersales support across MG’s lineup.

The dealership also features a customer lounge designed to make visits more comfortable, whether customers are exploring potential purchases or bringing their vehicles in for service.

Beyond the facility upgrades, the inauguration served as a showcase for five electrified models: the MG4 Urban EV, MG S5 EV, MG RX9 PHEV, MG HS PHEV and MG G50 PHEV.

The lineup covers both fully electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, giving motorists different options depending on their driving requirements and preferences. However, the company did not announce specific changes to the models’ specifications, pricing or availability as part of the dealership inauguration.

The event brought together representatives from Mt. Ararat Motors Inc., part of the ANC+ Group of Companies, and MG Motor Philippines. Attendees included Mt. Ararat Motors President Anthony N. Cheng, Managing Director Allan Lopez and General Manager Rico Dineros, alongside MG Motor Philippines President Wei Wei Zhang and other executives and guests.

Zhang said the renovation reflects the company’s efforts to improve the customer experience and bring its vehicles and services closer to Filipino communities. He also highlighted the opportunity to introduce the brand’s latest electrified offerings to customers in Pulilan.

For MG, the dealership upgrade underscores the importance of its retail network as it expands its vehicle portfolio in the Philippines. Access to a nearby service center is a practical consideration for buyers, particularly those exploring electrified vehicles that may require specialized maintenance and technical support.

The refreshed Pulilan facility is expected to help the brand serve customers in Bulacan through improved showroom access, sales assistance and aftersales services. Its technicians’ training in both conventional and New Energy Vehicles also reflects the changing demands placed on dealership service operations as electrified models become a larger part of the market.

While the inauguration does not introduce a new vehicle launch, the combination of upgraded facilities and a five-model electrified showcase gives MG another opportunity to build its presence outside Metro Manila. The dealership’s long-term value for local motorists will ultimately depend on the accessibility, quality and consistency of the sales and service support it provides.

Autocar’s Take

Refreshing a dealership may not generate as much excitement as launching a new car, but it can make a meaningful difference to the ownership experience. MG Pulilan’s upgraded showroom and service center are welcome developments for motorists in Bulacan, especially with five electrified models now being showcased locally as it expands both its model lineup and dealer network.

But uyers considering a full-EV or PHEV need more than an attractive showroom; they also need trained technicians, accessible maintenance and confidence in the support available after purchase. MG’s investment in its dealer network is a positive step to achieving its ultimate goal.
