Geely Motor Philippines sold 1,023 units in September 2026, an important milestone for the brand as it is the highest single-month sales volume in the company’s history since commencing operations as a direct subsidiary of Geely Auto International.

As such, this is the first time that Geely PH, under Geely Auto International, has breached the 1,000-unit sales mark in a single month. The brand’s notable sales run in September is driven by the Geely EX2, registering 470 units sold, the highest number among Geely products available in the Philippines.

The Geely EX2, an electric vehicle (EV) that rivals the likes of the GAC Aion UT and BYD Seagull, is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor with 114 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque, sending all power to the rear wheels. It is also equipped with a 39.4-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that is said to deliver up to 395 kilometers of NEDC-rated range.

Accompanying the EX2 for Geely PH’s September sales run is the EX5 EM-i, which posted 345 units sold. The Geely EX5 EM-i comes with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with an 18.4 kWh battery and an electric motor. It generates a combined power output of 218 horsepower and 262 Nm of torque. Geely claims that the EX5 EM-i has a pure electric range of 83 kilometers, with a combined range of up to 943 kilometers.

With that, the Geely EX2 and EX5 EM-i made up nearly 80 percent of Geely PH’s September sales. The car brand said that this is a clear sign of growing consumer demand for new energy vehicles such as the EX2 and the EX5 EM-i.

Coming in as the third best-selling Geely in September is the Okavango, with 76 units sold, followed by the Coolray with 53 units sold, and the EX5 with 31 units sold. The Geely GX3 Pro also yielded 26 units sold, while the Emgrand finished with 22 units sold.

Geely PH shared that its notable September sales run was made possible by the unwavering support and dedication of Geely’s strong dealer network nationwide. The achievement was particularly driven by the outstanding performance of the top three dealer groups: MG Gateway Group, ANC+ Group of Companies, and D&J Auto.

Geely PH intends to carry on this momentum for the rest of 2026, as it is preparing for the local launch of the Geely Monjaro EM-i, the brand’s flagship Super Hybrid SUV.

Autocar’s Take

Geely is finding its appeal and momentum back in the Philippine market, as it has sold over 1,000 units in September. This is a good sign for the brand after encountering a slight setback in the past years. With its September numbers, one can arguably note that Geely PH is in the right direction when it comes to regaining its popularity in the local market. A popularity that was driven previously by the Coolray and Okavango. Now, it seems that Geely PH’s hero models are the EX2 and the EX5 EM-i.
