Mitsubishi has revealed the initial specs of the next-generation Pajero for the Thai market, showing that it will be offered in three variants in the Land of Smiles. Since the specs shown are just initial, the three variants are categorized as Entry, Mid, and Top, which are not the usual trim nomenclature from Mitsubishi.
Based on the initial specs, all variants of the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero in Thailand will deliver 201 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. It comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission with sport mode. The exact engine is not shown in the uploaded specs, but as a review, the next-gen Pajero is powered by a new 2.4-liter turbo diesel.
The Entry and Mid variants will come with a two-wheel-drive configuration, while the Top trim comes with a four-wheel-drive configuration, coupled with seven drive modes: Normal, Eco, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock.
Exterior-wise, the Entry and Mid trims feature the brand’s Kendo Mask front grille, which has horizontal slats. The Top trim has a honeycomb front grille design. This is quite an interesting detail, as Mitsubishi’s marketing promoted the all-new Pajero equipped with the Kendo Mask more often, which gave the impression that it is the look of the top-spec trim.
Meanwhile, the dynamic flow light on the front fascia is fitted on the Mid and Top variants, while the front bumper garnish, rear bumper garnish, and skid plate are exclusively available for the Top trim. When it comes to wheels, the Entry variant sits on a set of 18-inch alloys, while the Mid and Top come with 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels (Black-Silver for the Mid trim; Black-Smoke for the Top trim). The two-tone exterior color options are also reserved for the top-spec Pajero variant.
Inside, only the Top Pajero variant has a panoramic sunroof, as well as a two-tone interior, a digital rearview mirror, a 14.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 14.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with Mitsubishi Connect. The Entry and Mid Pajero variants for the Thai market come with a black interior, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The Mid and Top Pajero have eight-way power-adjustable seats with memory function and power lumbar support. The Entry trim, on the other hand, has eight-way power seats. In terms of speakers, the Entry Pajero gets six speakers, while the Mid and Top Pajero have 12-speaker Yamaha Dynamic Sound.
Safety-wise, all three Pajero variants for the Thai market are equipped with several tech features, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, lane change assist, forward collision mitigation, predictive forward collision warning, lane departure prevention, among many others. However, only the Top Pajero trim gets rear cross-traffic braking, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and MI-Pilot.

The initial specs for the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero for the Thai market are already out, revealing three variants for the brand’s flagship SUV. This is significant since the initial specs for the Thai market could be the benchmark for the Philippine-spec Pajero. From what we are seeing in the initial spec, it looks like the features across the Pajero variants are spread out logically. Not to mention, the Entry and Mid trims already come integrated with a lot of safety tech features, which is a plus point, especially for the base trim.
