BYD Cars Philippines celebrated the Sealion 6 DM-i’s second year in the local market by hosting an exclusive drive-in cinema at Ayala Malls Trinoma. The Sealion 6 is regarded as one of the most popular vehicles of BYD Cars PH.
The car brand said that the event brought together over 60 owners of one of BYD’s most popular Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) models. Before the drive-in cinema, participants joined a grand multi-point convoy from across Luzon, featuring stops at BYD Manila Bay, BYD Sta Rosa, and Shell Mobility Mexico Southbound, which hosts an ACMobility Charging station.
The community behind BYD Sealion 6 DM-i has grown exponentially in the span of two years. BYD shared that the Sealion 6 Facebook community now has over 25,000 members nationwide. Meanwhile, the Sealion 6 Owners Club has evolved into one of the country’s most active and engaged automotive communities. The group consistently hosts meetups that transform individual car ownership into a genuine communal experience.
“Two years ago, we started with a handful of owners who simply wanted a place to share their experience with the Sealion 6 DM-i. Today, we’re a much larger community that is bound by a shared passion for electrified driving. Nights like this remind us how far we’ve come together, and how much further we can go,” said BYD Sealion 6 Club President Edward Salas.
BYD Cars PH Managing Director Bob Palanca shared that BYD Sealion 6 owners are the true heartbeat of the brand, noting the trust they’ve placed in the brand. As such, Palanca expressed that BYD Cars PH is committed to delivering exceptional and reliable support to its clients.

Every story they share, every new driver they welcome into the fold, and every kilometer they put on their Sealion 6 DM-i is a testament to the trust they’ve placed in us. BYD Cars PH added that the Sealion 6 DM-i continues to be one of the most popular models in its model lineup. It features BYD’s Super DM-i technology, and it offers a combined range exceeding 1,000 kilometers from a full charge and tank. Due to its popularity in the local market, BYD Cars PH could soon introduce an updated Sealion 6 DM-i lineup.
