Chinese carmaker Jetour’s T2 has reached a major milestone, surpassing 500,000 units sold worldwide just 33 months after its market debut. The achievement comes alongside more than 700,000 cumulative sales for the brand’s T-Series lineup as of May 2026, underscoring the growing demand for SUVs that combine everyday practicality with genuine adventure capability.
The milestone is particularly relevant in the Philippines, where SUVs continue to dominate new vehicle sales. Many Filipino buyers today prefer vehicles that can handle weekday commutes, long provincial drives, and occasional off-road excursions without sacrificing comfort or convenience.
Positioned as a lifestyle-oriented SUV, the Jetour T2 blends rugged styling with modern engineering. It is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, complemented by the brand’s XWD Intelligent Four-Wheel Drive System and “7+X” One-Click Off-road Mode. The setup allows the SUV to adapt to varying road conditions while remaining refined for daily driving.

Inside, the T2 offers a generous list of comfort and safety features. Standard equipment includes a high-definition infotainment display, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and six airbags. Jetour also says extensive noise, vibration, and harshness engineering helps deliver a quieter cabin during longer trips.
Beyond sales, the T2 has also collected recognition in several international markets. The SUV has earned awards including Car of the Year 2024 in Angola, the Recomendados Autocosmos Award in Chile, and the 2026 Car of the Year and Mild Adventure Category Champion honors in South Africa.
The milestone reflects Jetour’s steadfast global expansion. In just eight years, the automaker says it has recorded more than 2.4 million cumulative vehicle sales while establishing over 2,000 sales and service outlets across more than 100 countries and regions. Locally, the company continues to build its community through the Jetour T2 Pilipinas Car Club and currently offers the SUV in Beyond, Terrain, Panda Edition, Terminator, and Lightning i-DM PHEV variants.
As more brands compete in the midsize SUV segment, the Jetour T2’s latest global sales milestone serves as another indication that buyers continue to gravitate toward vehicles capable of balancing daily usability with adventure-ready performance.
Autocar’s Take
While a global sales milestone doesn’t automatically translate into local success, surpassing 500,000 units sold worldwide gives the Jetour T2 a stronger foundation than many newer entrants. Filipino buyers today want more than bold styling—they expect versatility, modern technology, and confidence on long drives. Those are exactly the qualities the Jetour T2 aims to deliver. As the brand continues expanding its local presence, its growing international track record could become one of its strongest selling points.
