Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Chevrolet in the Philippines, announced that the Spark EUV managed to clinch the 2026 Electric Car of the Year from the Federación Interamericana de Periodistas del Automóvil (FIPA) or Inter-American Federation of Automotive Journalism.

FIPA is said to be one of South America’s most respected organizations representing automotive journalists. The Chevrolet Spark EUV got the most votes from the automotive journalists who are members of FIPA, clinching the 2026 Electric Car of the Year award. As such, HARI shared that the award further reinforces Spark EUV’s position as one of Chevrolet’s leading entry-level electric vehicles, now available in more than eight markets across the region, including the Philippines.

Of note, the Chevrolet Spark EUV recorded more than 1,000 deliveries in April in Brazil. The car brand said that this translates to a 70 percent increase from 628 units sold in March, marking its strongest monthly sales performance to date in the Brazilian market.

“The Chevrolet Spark EUV’s recognition as the 2026 Electric Car of the Year by FIPA is a proud milestone that reflects Chevrolet’s commitment to delivering innovative, accessible, and customer-focused electric mobility solutions,” said HARI Vice Chairman, President, and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo.

Turning to the side, the Spark EUV electric crossover has prominent wheel arches along with straight character lines and roof rails. The rear, on the other hand, has distinctive taillights.
