Early this year, BYD Philippines Corporation Country Head Adam Hu, who oversees both BYD and Denza locally, said that the Z9 GT is coming to the Philippine market. Now, Hu’s promise could soon be a reality as the Denza Z9 GT electric vehicle (EV) is now listed on the Department of Energy’s official online portal.
Based on the initial specs uploaded on the DOE’s website, the Denza Z9 GT EV will come with dual motors, making it an all-wheel-drive vehicle that delivers 1,156 horsepower. It also has a 122.5 kWh BYD second-generation Blade Battery, which is said to come with ultra-fast charging capability. Previously, BYD shared that its Blade Battery 2.0 can charge from 10 to 70 percent in around five minutes. As such, it is interesting to know how fast the Denza Z9 GT EV can recharge its battery.
The initial specs also show that the Denza Z9 GT EV can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 240 km/h. In terms of driving range, the Z9 GT EV is claimed to be capable of delivering 725 kilometers (NEDC) of electric driving. It also features several drive modes, which include Eco, Normal, Sport, Comfort, Racing, and Snow.

Inside, the Denza Z9 GT EV comes with a modern-looking layout. Its dashboard is dominated by a large 17.3-inch infotainment screen that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Another screen can be found behind the steering wheel, as the Z9 GT EV is equipped with a 13.2-inch digital gauge cluster, which adds to the vehicle’s overall modern cabin appeal.
Other features that could come with the Denza Z9 GT EV are the following: eight-way power-adjustable driver’s and front passenger’s seats with massage function, wood dashboard panel, dual 50W wireless smartphone charger, panoramic sunroof, among others.
Denza Philippines has yet to announce the launch date of the Z9 GT EV. But since it is already listed on the DOE’s official website, Denza PH could soon debut the said EV.

Autocar’s Take
Denza Philippines could soon debut the Z9 GT EV, as it is now already listed on the Department of Energy’s official website. The initial specs show that the Z9 GT EV could come with up to 725 kilometers of electric driving range, thanks to the 122.5 kWh BYD Blade Battery 2.0. It also suggests that it will come with 1,156 horsepower, which is hard to ignore. However, these are just the initial specs. Denza Philippines has yet to announce the official launch date of the Z9 GT EV.
