ACMobility remains committed to making electric vehicle (EV) charging more accessible as it partners with Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) to build EV charging stations in several Robinsons Land properties across the country starting this year.

As part of GoCharge, Robinsons Land’s EV charging initiative, ACMobility is providing its full array of EV charging infrastructure across all RLC verticals, bringing electric mobility closer to where people live, work, and play.

Under the said partnership, ACMobility is looking to build over 200 EV charge points in RLC’s residential buildings, offices, hotels, and estates. ACMobility said that this partnership will make EV charging accessible in more locations in Metro Manila, Tagaytay, as well as key locations in Tuguegarao, Tarlac, Bicol, Palawan, Bacolod, Cebu, and Iloilo. The said EV infrastructure features a mix of 22 kW and 7 kW charging points, all fully integrated into ACMobility’s partner app, Evro.

ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala shared that the partnership with RLC is in line with its goal to build more charging points in the Philippines to enable worry-free EV driving.

“Our partnership comes at such a pivotal time. There is clear intent among Filipinos to shift to EVs. This is why at ACMobility, we’re hard at work building the Philippine EV Spine. With more charging points available from Pagudpud in the north to Pagadian in the south, we will enable worry-free EV-powered drives,” ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said.

To further show that EV driving in the country is possible, ACMobility, through BYD Cars Philippines, collaborated with the Department of Tourism for the “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” road trip campaign. The said road trip has covered over 3,500 kilometers and driven through 102 cities and municipalities across Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao. Joining the Drive Electric. Love Pinas. road trip is the following BYD vehicles: BYD eMax 7, a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), and the BYD Shark 6 DMO, a Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV).

Meanwhile, Robinsons Land Corporation President and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio expressed that its partnership with ACMobility allows the company to help make “sustainable mobility more practical.”

“Robinsons Land has always believed in creating developments that are ready for the future and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. Through GoCharge and our partnership with ACMobility, we are helping make sustainable mobility more practical and within reach while creating long-term value across our properties,” RLC President and CEO Mybelle V. Aragon-GoBio shared.

Autocar’s Take

ACMobility is determined to fulfill its promise of making EV charging even more accessible as it partners with Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC). Through this partnership, ACMobility shared that it plans to install over 200 charger points in Robinsons Land priorities, which would make EV charging more accessible for motorists who live in residential buildings, offices, hotels, and estates.

This partnership could also add to the list of reasons as to why car buyers need to consider driving home an EV, since charging stations will be expanded and could possibly be installed in proximity to where they live. Overall, ACMobility shows that it is doing the work in expanding the Philippine EV charging infrastructure.
