Kia Philippines has confirmed that the EV5 will be officially making its local debut at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), which is happening next week. The EV5 is Kia PH’s latest electric vehicle (EV) offering, joining the EV9, which is an all-electric SUV.

Kia PH has been previewing the EV5 for quite some time. It has even opened its reservation books for the said EV before its upcoming launch at the 2026 MIAS. The Kia EV5 would most likely come in two variant options, the GL and GLS, information that previously surfaced thanks to the Department of Energy’s (DOE) online portal for recognized EVs.

The EV5 is a compact crossover SUV EV that’s said to combine advanced technology with a modern and stylish exterior design. Based on the initial specs shown at the DOE’s website, the Kia EV5 for the Philippine market could come with a Standard Range and Long Range trim.

The Kia EV5 Long Range, on the other hand, is equipped with front and rear electric motors and an 88.1 kWh battery that produces a combined output of 313 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels, and it has a maximum range of up to 555 kilometers (WLTP).

Citing the initial specs shown at the DOE’s website, the Kia EV5 for the Philippine market will come with an integrated panoramic display as standard. This includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a five-inch climate monitor, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Of note, the features mentioned here are just initial specs. Stay tuned for the final PH spec once the Kia EV5 makes its debut at the 2026  MIAS on April 9 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
