Chinese car brand Lynk & Co, through its official Philippine distributor, United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), is rolling out a limited-time retail activation event to entice buyers to shift to its lineup of electrified and conventional models. Dubbed “Energize Your Upgrade,” the two-day campaign will run from March 27 to 28, 2026, simultaneously at its Alabang and North EDSA dealerships.

The Lynk & Co Energize Your Upgrade event centers on providing customers with added value through a mix of financial incentives, trade-in support, and experiential touchpoints. Clients who make a reservation during the event will be eligible to participate in a raffle that unlocks additional cash discounts, potentially lowering the purchase price of a brand-new unit.

To further enhance the ownership journey, Lynk & Co is also bundling limited-edition merchandise items with every confirmed reservation. This move is the brand’s way of building stronger lifestyle connections with its customers beyond traditional showroom services.

A key component of the activation is the on-site trade-in program. Professional appraisers will be present in both venues to provide real-time vehicle evaluation. Their participation will allow customers to immediately apply the assessed value of their current vehicle toward a new purchase. This streamlined process removes the hassle and friction often associated with upgrading to a new model.

Test-drive activities will also be held throughout the event, giving prospective buyers the opportunity to experience Lynk & Co.’s vehicle lineup firsthand. The range includes both electric vehicles (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) models, aligning with the brand’s dual approach to mobility while the market continues to transition toward electrification.

Lynk & Co operates as a joint venture between Geely Auto Group and Volvo Car Group, with vehicles designed and engineered in Sweden. The brand has positioned itself as a challenger in the automotive space, emphasizing connectivity, digital integration, and contemporary design.

Autocar’s Take

Short, targeted retail activations, like Lynk & Co’s Energize Your Upgrade campaign, are becoming important in today’s competitive market. The brand’s approach is straightforward and effective – combine financial incentives with a seamless trade-in process and experiential engagement. What stands out from this campaign is the effort to eliminate the inconvenience in upgrading to a brand-new vehicle with the on-site presence of professional upraisers. This way, buyers can trade in their old unit, have it assessed, and purchase a brand-new car using the value of the old one, all in one place.

Moreover, the inclusion of both EV and ICE models in the campaign highlights a realistic understanding of where the local automotive market currently sits. The program doesn’t just drive sales, it builds brand familiarity and trust, key components for success in this competitive market.
