BYD Cars Philippines ended 2025 on a high note, as it recorded more than 26,000 units sold, which made it the third best-selling car brand in the country behind Toyota and Mitsubishi. Overall, the brand’s sales performance in 2025 accounts for a 446 percent year-on-year increase.
BYD said that one of the factors that contributed to its success in 2025 is its continuous dealership network expansion. Back in 2024, BYD had a total of 25 dealerships, which increased significantly as it closed 2025 with a total of 79 operational dealerships nationwide. As such, BYD PH recognized the notable performance of its dealership network at the 2025 BYD Dealer Conference, which was held at Okada Manila.
The Dealer Conference was attended by BYD dealers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The event is meant to celebrate the dealerships that performed well in 2025, which have significantly contributed to BYD’s success.
“If 2024 was about proving what’s possible, 2025 was about going further. From just two locations in early 2024, we are proud to announce that we now have 79 dealer outlets, spanning Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao – bringing our products and services closer to Filipino customers,” said BYD Cars PH Managing Director Bob Palanca.

BYD Glorietta has been given the Sales Achiever Award, as it posted the highest overall retail sales, fleet sales, and customer satisfaction nationwide, according to the car brand.

Autocar’s Take
BYD Cars Philippines’ skyrocketing sales in 2025 allowed the company to be the third best-selling car brand in the local market, which is behind Toyota and Mitsubishi. Based on the sales numbers released by BYD, it has even sold more units than Suzuki Philippines, an indication that the market is slowly giving new players a chance.
Aside from offering value-for-money products, BYD has also aggressively expanded its dealership network in the country, which proved beneficial to the brand as it became more accessible to potential clients. As such, 2026 is an interesting year for BYD. Will it continue to gain more clients? Only time can tell.
