Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is preparing for one of its most ambitious product launches in recent years as it heads into 2026, unveiling a clear roadmap to expand its model lineup across passenger cars, SUVs, pickups, and electrified vehicles. The Japanese brand confirmed that it will introduce five new models to the local market, a significant step following its very successful run in 2025.
Leading TMP’s strategy for 2026 is the planned introduction of the Toyota Urban Cruiser, a compact SUV identified as the brand’s push into electrified mobility. While official specs for the local market have not been released, the Urban Cruiser is widely anticipated to include a battery-electric variant to banner Toyota’s electrified mobility journey, along with the recently launched Toyota bZ4X.

TMP will also bring the all-new RAV4, introducing the latest generation of its midsize SUV to local showrooms. Hybrid versions of the 2026 RAV4 are expected to feature standard all-wheel drive, reflecting a shift towards more capable and efficient drivetrains in TMP’s range.
In the premium SUV segment, TMP plans to introduce hybridized versions of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, alongside the Land Cruiser FJ, a compact ladder-frame SUV that blends off-road capability with a more accessible size.
The all-new Toyota Hilux pickup truck is also on TMP’s 2026 slate, making the introduction of the next generation of one of the Philippines’ most popular business and leisure vehicles. While detailed specifications for the local Hilux range have yet to be published, it is expected that the new Hilux will carry into the local market its improved safety and drivetrain technologies, particularly its first hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) variant.
TMP’s aggressive product launch strategy follows a strong 2025 performance in which the company posted a record sales figure of 229,447 units across the Toyota and Lexus brands. The expanded 2026 lineup is designed to reinforce TMP’s market leadership while responding to growing consumer demand for electrified and versatile vehicle choices.

Autocar’s Take
TMP’s upcoming 2026 product lineup signals a clear understanding of how the local market is evolving. The mix of familiar nameplates like the Hilux and RAV4, with their respective electrified and hybrid options, shows that Toyota is not rushing change but guiding buyers towards it.
For local motorists, this balanced approach matters. Fuel efficiency, durability, and resale value still carry weight, and TMP is layering modern technology on top of those strengths. If properly executed, this rollout could further cement Toyota’s position as the go-to brand for households and businesses navigating through rising fuel costs and interest in electrified mobility.
