Changan Automobile Group announced that it has reached its 30 millionth vehicle production, which the car brand said is a milestone in its dedication to making quality products and evolving into a global intelligent mobility technology company.
Among Changan’s top priorities is vehicle safety, and the Chinese car brand takes this aspect seriously, a commitment dating back to 1999 with China’s first minivan crash test. Since then, the car brand said that it has advanced its protective capabilities from passive safety structures to today’s active safety interventions.
Changan shared that it uses its proprietary CA-Intelligent Vehicle Safety Technology (ITVS) verification system to subject vehicles to over 5 million kilometers of testing. The Chinese car brand also launches “SDA Intelligence,” which is said to be a holistic safety ecosystem that secures both passengers and their data, ensuring a “Safe Journey Home” in every dimension.

Changan is also proud of its Green Plan, which targets electrification, battery safety, and new energy vehicle ecosystems. It also has initiatives under its Intelligent Plan, which houses advances in vehicle intelligence, autonomous systems, and connectivity. Among the projects launched under the two umbrella plans are the Golden Shield Battery system, as well as the BlueCore 3.0 powertrain that is said to deliver hybrid and internal combustion engine solutions.
The Chinese car brand aims to keep on moving forward with a vision to be among the world’s top 10 automakers with annual sales of five million units. The company is also expanding the boundaries of mobility by actively developing humanoid robots for 2028. Moreover, Changan expects that by 2030, over 60 percent of sales will be new energy vehicles and 30 percent will come from overseas markets, solidifying its place globally.
In the Philippines, Changan is exclusively distributed by Inchcape Philippines, and it offers a wide range of vehicles, including cars under the Nevo lineup such as the Lumin, A05, Q05, and Hunter K50.
Aside from its electric vehicles, Changan Philippines also offers internal combustion engine (ICE) models, particularly the Alsvin, CS15, CS35 Plus, CS55 Plus, X7 Plus, Uni-T, and Uni-K. It also signed Donny Pangilinan as its first brand ambassador.
