Chery Auto Philippines emerges as the leading seller of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) among members of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) for October 2025. This strong pace is driven largely by the rising demand for the Chinese brand’s Tiggo rEV.

According to the consolidated reports from CAMPI and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), Chery recorded 81 units sold for the Tiggo rEV in October. This placed the model comfortably ahead of 19 other PHEV available from seven participating brands. The Chery Tiggo rEV’s October total sales reached PHEV sales reached 303 units, with the next best-selling model at 51 units.

United Asia Automotive Group Inc. (UAAGI), Chery’s official local distributor, said the Tiggo rEV’s performance reflects growing consumer interest in the model’s technology and features. The company also credited its nationwide dealer network of 25 dealerships, which it says has helped reinforce brand presence and after-sales support.

A key contributor to the model’s recent visibility is the introduction of the Tiggo rEV Luxury Edition (LE), a 7-seat mid-size PHEV positioned as the upgraded version of the brand’s best-selling electrified offering. The new variant integrates Chery’s latest hybrid system, expanded convenience features, and added driver-assist technologies while maintaining a competitive price point.

Powering the Tiggo rEV LE is the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) system which supports both Type 2 and CCS2 charging standards. The unit combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, rated at 204 hp and 310 Nm, with a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). Chery claims the model to offer a combined EV and hybrid driving range of up to 1,400 km.

The LE also features notable safety and advanced driver assistance (ADAS) technologies. These include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, and blind spot monitoring. A 540-degree camera system with dynamic guidelines further helps maneuverability in tight spaces.

Inside, the LE comes with a 5.6-inch floating touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel. The cabin also features a 12-speaker Sony audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, a heads-up display, and a panoramic sunroof. Smart proximity access, remote engine start, and flushed-out door handles round out the LE’s convenience and design cues.

Of note, the Chery Tiggo rEV LE is priced at P1,528,000 and is available at all Chery dealerships nationwide.
