
The Philippine automotive industry recorded a positive sales performance for October 2025 as it registered a 5.2 percent increase compared to September. For the month of October, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) reported that the local automotive industry reached 40,014 units sold.
Toyota Motor Philippines continues to be the most popular manufacturer in the country as it recorded 20,404 units sold in October, which accounts for a commanding 60 percent market share. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation is the closest rival of Toyota as it posted 7,313 units sold, which is 18.3 percent market share, while Ford Philippines sits at third with 1,943 units sold, which is 4.9 percent market share.

Suzuki Philippines takes the fourth spot as it yielded 1,905 units sold in October, accounting for 4.76 percent market share. Completing the top five best-performing car brands in terms of sales last month is Nissan Philippines with 1,504 units sold, which is 3.8 percent market share.
CAMPI and TMA reported that the Commercial Vehicles led the market in terms of Year-To-Date (YTD) sales with nearly 80 percent share and a 7.9 percent YTD increase. It’s a different story when you look at the Passenger Cars, as it declined 23.2 percent YTD.
The Electrified Vehicles also showed a positive sales run when you look at the YTD numbers. The Electric Vehicle sales surged with 24,265 units sold YTD, which is driven by notable hybrid sales. To put things in perspective, sales of hybrid vehicles amount to 19,379 YTD, which is a whopping 79.9 percent market share YTD, showing that hybrid vehicles are the current choice of Filipino buyers when shopping for new energy vehicles.

Hybrid vehicle sales are led by Toyota, with 14,794 units sold YTD. Toyota can further extend its lead in hybrid vehicle sales with the introduction of the all-new Ativ. It is followed by Honda Cars Philippines, Inc., with 1,572 YTD sales, and Ford with 845 units sold.
Full-electric vehicles, or Battery Electric Vehicles, accounted for 3,941 units sold YTD, equating to a 16.2 percent market share. Meanwhile, the Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) posted 945 units sold YTD, which is 3.9 percent market share.
Market leadership remains strong, with Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation commanding a 48.3 percent YTD share, followed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation at 19 percent, Ford at 4.9 percent, Suzuki at 4.8 percent, and Nissan at 4.7 percent.
