Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has solidified its position as the country’s number 1 motorcycle brand. Proof of this is the company’s latest achievement of producing its 9-millionth motorcycle unit, which called for a celebration at its 20-hectare manufacturing facility in Tanauan City, Batangas.

The milestone reinforced HPI’s commitment to providing high-quality, reliable, and environmentally friendly motorcycles for the Filipino riding community. Offering a wide selection of models for different applications and motorcycle categories, HPI’s products cater to a broad market.

HPI President Takeshi Kobayashi led the celebration, announcing July 2025 as HPI’s highest monthly wholesale record of 96,600 units.

This contributed greatly to the 9-millionth unit production, which HPI managed to achieve just this August, with the Honda XRM125 DS as its best-selling model. Designed for versatility and durability in both urban and rural environments, the Honda XRM has endured the test of time as it’s been on top of HPI’s most valued model since its launch in 2007.

“HPI achieved the highest monthly wholesale record of 97,600 units last July 2025. Considering the positive momentum, we are confident that we can achieve more than 1 million units this year,” said Kobayashi.

Kobayashi’s statement has solid backing as HPI vows to make 2025 its banner year. Highly motivated by the latest milestone, HPI is on a mission to exceed the 1 million mark in both sales and production by the year’s end. HPI says that it will prioritize production efficiency and capacity in order to achieve this 2025 goal.

HPI recalled its storied journey in the Philippine motorcycle industry that dates back to the early ‘70s. In May 1973, HPI began making motorcycles at its first production plant in Parañaque. After achieving its first 1-millionth production unit in 2005, HPI transferred its facility to its current location in Batangas. Since then, the company has achieved numerous milestones in both sales and production, leading to this very latest record.
